What it translate to  is that Nigeria has lost 6,006 people to another country, at that rate each year in less than no time, Nigerian productive populace will not be available to develop the country

ghana and ethiopia have always had more visa lottery winners than nigeria i think.

not sure though.

this year it seems ethiopia's figures dropped somewhat.

One implication of Nigeria topping this list is that real soon we wont be eligible to participate in this scheme cos we would have exceeded our 50,000 mark

Another thing i wish to point out is that from my experience and general random sampling of the winners of DV lottery scheme, we dont tend to lose our best minds via that medium.
Most people that go to the states through thatmans are hardly nobody's over here and when they get there they join the grind.

My point is that our best minds will find their way to the US one way or another if they so desire and if you check, a greater percentage of them (at least from my personal experience) made it despite the DV lottery scheme.

i'm surprised we havent exceeded it already.

however, people have been predicting that for some years now, without it happening.
