While we await parties to name their candidates so we can put up Official Nairaland Poll, let's work with this.
Who do you want to clinch PDP ticket?
Re: Nairaland Mock PDP Primary by nex(m): 9:31pm On Sep 17, 2010
Shehu Shagari. Since IBB made it clear that anybody who's not being crippled by age should not be President, I suggest even Fatai Rolling Dollar to clinch the ticket.
Re: Nairaland Mock PDP Primary by Nobody: 9:38pm On Sep 17, 2010
Is this all PDP can offer?

Then hope may be defered again for another 4years.

Please include "non of the above in the poll"
Re: Nairaland Mock PDP Primary by Nobody: 9:45pm On Sep 17, 2010
If opposition can not exploit the wonderful opportunity this line up will present them no matter the outcome, they can as well all forget it.

No matter who wins the PDP Primaries, PDP will be a very fractured and divided party.
Re: Nairaland Mock PDP Primary by amingafar(m): 9:55pm On Sep 17, 2010
for me its between Saraki or Atiku

IBB is old didnt do anything when he was president.
Re: Nairaland Mock PDP Primary by Mobinga: 10:01pm On Sep 17, 2010
Are you guys not seeing GEJ?? or are my eyes deceiving me
Re: Nairaland Mock PDP Primary by Nobody: 10:07pm On Sep 17, 2010
Mikeansy, I agree with you that here is a golden opportunity to dislodge PDP. No widely acceptable aspirant, GEJ, their pointman, doesn't appear to have the liver to crush opposition like Obj; if lost, other aspirants may team up against the ticket winner; this INEC appears somehow credible and we expect minimal rigging. All these factors may make things difficult for PDP.
Re: Nairaland Mock PDP Primary by Nobody: 10:23pm On Sep 17, 2010
Only if the Labour Party was very organised.

But folks . . . . .the story of this process is yet to be told.

The reason OBJ has always been OBJ is beause he operates 5 steps ahead while everyone is on a 2 steps wavelength.

I will simply sit back, drink my star as often as I can as the show goes on. The chances of a better Nigeria begining in 2011 is very slim. Good Things don't happen overnight, if this election was going to be any different we would have felt the structural changes by now.

The notion that INEC will be different this time because JEGA is now Inec Boss is simply a hallucination because that wish is founded on nothing.
Re: Nairaland Mock PDP Primary by Mobinga: 11:03pm On Sep 17, 2010
If GEJ can run as a partiless candidate, then the elections will be a joy to behold

If One were to add Saraki's vote to IBB, one can see Jonathan is still leading. From this subtle emperical sample it is clear who would sweep d stakes in d primaries. This primary is definately a dead cert for Goodluck Jonathan.
Re: Nairaland Mock PDP Primary by spikedcylinder: 9:46am On Sep 19, 2010
I'm sure there are more than those 4 people jostling for the PDP ticket.
Re: Nairaland Mock PDP Primary by Sharonf(f): 10:03am On Sep 19, 2010
Sorry to spoil the fun but who amongst people voting here is:
1. A PDP member
2. Able/going to vote in PDP primaries
Re: Nairaland Mock PDP Primary by spikedcylinder: 10:06am On Sep 19, 2010
"Mock". You know the meaning abi?
Re: Nairaland Mock PDP Primary by desgiezd(m): 12:37pm On Sep 19, 2010
@ Sharon f

I thought they call it a mock primary!

@ Topic

Seems IBB is a noise maker while Saraki is looking for a bargaining chip!
Re: Nairaland Mock PDP Primary by Giyaz: 2:21pm On Sep 19, 2010
If the outcome of this mock PDP primary is anything to go by, then Jonathan if dusted. Why? This forum is populated mainly by the southerners who naturally will want to see Jonathan continue as the president by 2011 and beyond. Despite this fact, IBB has about a quarter of total votes. Add IBB's votes to Saraki's plus the fact that when the real voting is done, many Northerners will quietly allign with the General from Minna. Be reminded that all Saraki's and Atiku's loyalists will likely queue behind IBB should their masters step down for him.

Interesting time ahead. grin grin grin
