Tale of the game
These Premier League title rivals both returned Champions League wins on Tuesday – after suffering their first League defeats of the season. Chelsea won 2-0 against Marseille at Stamford Bridge, while Arsenal enjoyed an impressive 3-1 win in Belgrade, against Partizan.

Chelsea remain top, three points clear of Manchester United and four better off than Arsenal. After six games last season Chelsea had maximum points, but lost their seventh, at Wigan. This season, they stumbled in their sixth outing, at Manchester City last weekend. Arsenal’s 11-point haul is one fewer than at this stage last season.

Chelsea are still without Frank Lampard and test Salomon Kalou, Jose Bosingwa and Yossi Benayoun. But Didier Drogba, who served a ban against Marseille, is available to return to attack.

Arsenal are still missing Cesc Fabregas, Theo Walcott, Robin van Persie, Thomas Vermaelen, Aaron Ramsey and Emmanuel Frimpong, while Nicklas Bendtner is closing in on a return.

But Arsène Wenger must decide whether to recall goalkeeper Manuel Almunia, if he is fit. Almunia was at fault for two of the goals in the 3-2 loss against WBA but did save a penalty. Lukasz Fabianski replaced him in Belgrade and also saved a penalty. Wenger must also contemplate starting with precocious youngster Jack Wilshere, who also impressed in the Champions League outing.

I tend to avoid thread like this, heck, I avoid the whole Sport section all together, due to most giving opinions like facts.

Here is my two cents worth - Arsenal have been the weaker side according to the stats, and as some would tell you, stats do not lie. It should however be noted that this is football, and in a game of football.     .    .  Well, anything can happen.

Last season Arsenal defence had a few holes in them and what not, but with the recent signings, I think it is fair to say Arsenal have a better defence in my opinion and may have a chance at actually getting one up over Chelsea this time around. The newly signed defenders have showed that they do a good job better than what we had last season and one of them (Squillaci I believe) is rated as a world class defender.

In my opinion, I feel Man City have shown the way on how to counter the threat Chelsea have. This is to stop the Brute force they rely so much on - I am talking about Drogba here - and they just become very much ordinary to handle. Having said that, they can still be dangerous with players like Anelka and Malouda in very good form and almost on fire at this point in time.

Arsenal can afford to attack and any of the players can score, but the problem lies in defence. It will be interesting to see how the back four stand up to what ever it is that Chelsea may throw at them.

Arsene have stated that it will be an attacking style of football and the plan is to retain possession. I think this may well work, but this is football we are talking about, and as with anything football, well, anything can happen! For example, Leeds united were leading by Four goals before half time, and by the time the match ended, they lost 6-4 (or something along those lines)

For the match tomorrow, I look forward to good play and a mind-blowing afternoon.

Predictions
If Arsenal can Shackle Drogba (try man-marking as oppose to Zone marking) then there is a good chance of winning. Anything outside of this and it may tip in the direction of Chelsea in my opinion.
