I don't know how a group of four/five talented people can not prevail against all those solo acts. Such is life. One Direction have prospects, though, if they can be well produced/managed/styled. They all have unique talents.

I feel bad for Storm Lee, he shouldn't have dyed his hair red. It's not an appealing shade at all. And in UK, rock artists don't go far. RnB, pop are the popular genres.

Glad Belle Amie stayed over Diva fever. I know which one of the two acts I'll rather watch next week.

Yeah his hair did kind of ruin him. Boy George springs to mind.
Rock does well in the UK. I mean modern rock (Kings of Leon)
but 1980s rock is not a good sound these days and as if
Storm isn't 80s enough, that man is in a serious time warp.

And I think John is in a time warp also, what with the 1991

I just meant that past winners of X-factor were more into pop and RnB, but hardly Rock. Even the runners-up (eg JLS n co. were not into rock either. It jus doesn't sell records

Actually Alternative and Indie Rock acts do sell records in the bucket load in U.K. However seeing that the Xfactor was designed specifically for Pop market, I don't see em' (Indie and Alternative Acts) doing well on the show.
