One of the factors that makes one's website slow is if your host provider is overselling.

You have a slideshow that uses pictures that are all above 1Megabyte in size; therefore, your page is several Megabytes in size and users have to download it all the time.
You need to resize your images to under a 100 Kilobytes each.

Do that, witness the incredible increase in speed and buy me a beer sharp sharp! grin

PS: the name "wazobia" really sucks, cos it is very tribalistic.

Thank you, P.S. Nigeria is very tribalistic. But how much do you charge to work with me in developing my websites??

@Beaf. Wazobia is a combination of three tribes. How is that tribalistic.

@Poster. Beafs advice/reason is correct. Too many large contents!

I am bloody good and expensive grin, but I can give you free, high quality advice here.
About the tribalistic thing, there is no excuse, Nigeria has 300+ ethnic groups and some might not visit your site because of the name.

The speed of your user's internet connection could also be a factor too.

I personally didn't experience any problems viewing your website - but then again my ISP (Internet Service Provider) provides me with High Speed Broadband . . .

True. But a balance should be struck in design. So people with connections that is not as blazing fast as your's can view one's site.

In Nigeria, Internet Service Providers Suck!

^^ thanks man!

I did try my hands with a bit of OO hardcore programming (C++, VB & Java) but not on a commercial scale

I used a bit of RPG running on the AS400 Operating System a bit at work. . .was okay for generating reports and the like

but I've moved away from all that techie stuff now smiley smiley

Go to www.smush.it and upload all your images from your img folder and compress their sizes (without reducing the quality). The sizes of your images will reduce and the website will be fast.
