greetings my brother. Only those who are spiritually inclined will understand spiritual truth. Others will waste their time arguing over what is written in a book. I encourage you and other sufis to continue focusing on the truth and truth alone which will lead you to spiritual freedom.

Benodic hi, keep up the good work you are doing on the forum but I just want to make a comment on your last post. When Jesus ascended to heaven he promised to send the holy spirit as a comforter to believers and nothe bible that was compiled three hundred years later. It's unfortunate that brethen today have missed the point by depending more on the bible whilst not even being in touch with the holy spirit. Whilst the bible is very important, a real physical in filling of the holy spirit is far more important. True christianity is highly spiritual unfortunately today, man made religion as taken precedence over true christianity.

thanks a lot for your comments. That is the point i have been making all along. There is only one way to all truth and it is the Holy Spirit, the Essence of God. Being in contact with the Holy Spirit is the key to a vibrant spiritual life. Once the Holy Spirit comes into your life and takes over you become a living, walking, loving channel for the distribution of God's love to all life without discrimination. These are not issues to argue about or to try to analyze. It is an experience that you go through and afterwards you are never the same again.

the teachings of AMORC, the little i know of them are more of metaphysical teachings on how you can gain control of the mind forces and be able to use it as you see fit in your life. So it concentrates more on acquiring power.

On the other hand the teachings of ECK is all about Soul realizing its divine nature by learning love, then freeing itself from the cluthes of the mind and the lower universes and then going back home to God to become a Co-worker with God.

which is better?

the answer to that question depends on your spiritual goal. What do you want in life. Is it to go back home to God after a long exile or is it to acquire more power and control over things. The choice and answer is up to the individual soul.

that is what they will tell you. The question then is ? Why is their meetings not open to public? They do some psychic practices which in ECK is strictly forbidden and all ECK activities are open to public. Nothing is hidden in ECKANKAR. You are free to walk in to any ECK Center join in the activity , ask questions , read books and walk out if at any point you do not feel comfortable with the teachings. You have the freedom to find out for yourself. Experience is always the best teacher

What about if I combine both teachings for

you have to fully explain what you mean by combining both teachings. Are you talking about being a member of both paths at the same time? Or do you want to take what both paths are teaching and put it into practise in your life?

If it is the first uption my answer will be no. It will harm you spiritually. It is like you are in an ocean with one leg in one boat and another leg in another boat and both of them are going in different directions at different speeds.you can imagine what will happen to the person who will be torn in different directions.

If it is the second uption then i will advise you to take your time and study each path carefully. Read their books and practice the techniques and see its effects on your life. Then you will know for yourself if it is good for you. You can then compare and contrast. Do not just rush straight in becoming a member without having an idea of what is in stock for you

In ECKANKAR we always tell people to take their time. In spiritual matters there is no rush and no hurry. You can read the ECK books and do the spiritual exercises expecially the HU song which is a love song to GOD. Sing it in the morning and night for 15 to 20 minutes at a time in a long drawn out way. Then watch your experiences and watch your life. You and you alone will be the judge of which path is okay for your spiritual growth now.

Always remember to ask Divine Spirit for Guidance because there is always help on the way for sincere seekers of the Truth.

Thank u benodic for your reply, well I have attended their public teachings (AMORC) and the organisation is open to the public. According to them you can study on your own at the comfort of your house/office or whenever you choose. I don't think there is anything secretive about AMORC. I have also attended Eckankar meetings which is open to the public too. Anyways I will like to incorporate the teachings of both for my spiritual and personal life because I want to be powerful and at the same time find my way back to God. I don't know if that is possible or advisable. And how do I tell the Divine Spirit to guide me on the path that is right for me? Really need to settle this and kick start my spiritual life
