Is it right for the president to have 45 escort cars as his entourage?

When i mean 45 cars, we are talking of cars FULLY loaded with armed military and police personnel.

This vehicles, personnels and other logistics are being mentained with task payers money.

Yes i know the pro gej will come biting and groaning at the post but one question i want to ask is if Obj, Ibb and any other individual was using that same number of escort will you guys still support it.

You need to watch the us president, Britain prime minister and other world leaders and see the very few cars on their entourage SO WHY IS NIGERIA DIFFERENT?

And please lets not put the security situation in the country as an excuse as it is the work of the government to provide security.


I know this because i have seen his convoy in two different states and abuja and it takes slightly over 10minutes for his entire convoy to pass (as the cars keep stretching to pass),

The governor of Lagos uses only 6 cars WITHOUT BLARING ANY SIREN. Yes i know we can't compare the 2 offices but i know the presidents convoy is just too long.

patrol vehicles that are stationed on every intersections, over and under passes.

Alot of the vehicles in a president's motorcade are not all security, some of them are members of the press core that travels with the president.

- Presence of ministers or/and governor on a particular trip.

Basically it constitutes the following
1 - Outriders (btw 4 & 6)
2 - 1 Front pilot vehicle (jeep, with light bars)
3 - 2 SSS security vehicle (front, usually land cruiser jeep)
4 - 1 brigade of guards vehicle (front, usually hilux)
5 - 1 Presidential Limousine armoured vehicle (Mercedes Benz S550/S600, With visible coat of arms.
6- 1 Back Presiential Limousine (same as 5 with coat of arms covered)
7 - Vehicle line up from # 2 - 4 repeated again in reverse line up at rear.
8 - a state house ambulance, press corp, state house utility vehicle for state house staff (cheif of staff etc) is included before vehicles listed in reverse line up at the rear.

Note that the above is if only the president is in the convoy. If the VP, ministers, governors or even the first lady is in the convoy then the vehicles increase.

Extravagance. Nigerians like to do everything BIG! If they have the money and the opportunity. Weddings, Birthday Parties, Naming Ceremonies Ramadam etc. So his entourage is really just him showing off.
