“Dangerous Men”, an action packed  thriller produced by a Germany based Nigerian film director, GuGu E. Michaels has been banned by the National Film and Video Censors Board(NFCVB).
The film was billed to commence showing at the Silverbird and Genesis Deluxe Cinemas last  weekend.
Michaels  confirmed that NFCVB claimed the thriller  was banned following the fact that it showed kidnapping and assassination, which  portrays the country in a negative light.
He lamented the decision by the board to ban the  movie, saying that he spent a lot of money to produce  the thriller which will now go down the drain.“The censors board claimed that my film showed Nigeria in a negative way and depicted what is going on in Nigerian politics and crime at the moment.’said Michaels who also directed the movie. An International Action Director, GuGu Michaels has written and directed over six feature length pictures, including “Unge’s War” which is an epic_action adventure.

this is not funny, these people should know that its only a film, they are only making us a laughing stuck of the world, they are already killing the idea of making great films in Nigeria; even Americans make film about terro; I have seen quite a few nigeria film approved by NFVCB maybe he refuse to give them bribe, he should go to Ghana and other African countries, and make the dvd available for purchase over the internet, and let nigeria buy it. In the near future nobody will need their approval, when film will be sold and watched online
