A Zimbabwean woman and her son have done the unthinkable – they havefallen in love with oneanother. And now theywant to marry since the mom, Betty Mberekofrom Mwenezi in Masvingo, is six months pregnant and expectingher son ’s child.
Mbereko (40), who waswidowed 12 years ago,has been cohabiting with her first child, Farai Mbereko (23).
She confirms that she is six months pregnant and that she has decided it is better to “marry” her son because she does not want to marry her late
husband ’s young brothers, whom she says are coveting her. Betty stunned a village court last week when she said the affair with her son had begun three years earlier. She said after spending a lot of money sending Farai to school following the death of her husband, she felt she had a right to his money and no other woman was entitled to it. “Look, I strove alone to send my son to school and no one helped me. Now you see that my son is working and you accuse me of doing something wrong. “Let me enjoy the products of my sweat, ” she told the village court.
Farai said he was more than prepared to marry his mother and would pay off the ilobola balance his father had left unpaid to his grandparents.
“I know my father died before he finished paying the bride price and I am prepared to pay it off, ” he said.
“It is better to publicise what is happening because people should know that I am the one who made my mother pregnant. Otherwise they will accuse her of promiscuity.”
But local headman Nathan Muputirwa says: “ We cannot allow this to happen in our village, mashura chaiwo aya, (This is a bad omen indeed).
In the past they would have to be killed but today we cannot doit because we are afraid of the police. ” He warned them to break off their
marriage or leave his village.
They chose the latter andhave left the village for an unknown destination.

This is serious grin grin grin grin These delusional women that think that because they struggle to raise their sons they somehow now own them. I guess it was bound to happen sooner or later. The stupid son sef joined the madness. I wonder what he was telling himself while he was climbing his freaking mother.
Re: I Want To Marry My Mother! by deekseen(m): 4:54pm On Oct 25, 2010
I think the mom sounded a bit too greedy. There are other ways to reap from your child what you sowed, not by parting your legs and getting pregnant for him.

Oh please. It is this mentality that got this woman here in the first place. Reap wetin? What kind of love is that. This is a young woman (just 40). It's greed and madness that is driving her. You do not love your children hoping to benefit from it financially. What da heck

Siena, I was watching a documentary in chemistry class once about that sort of thing. Well according to the documentary, although it is possible, the risk of a deformed child varies depending on the individuals relationship to one another and that contrary to popular belief the number/percentage of children of such relationships isn't as high as most people think. But I can see why there would be deformity in this case. There isn't much diversity within the gene pool since its the mother and sons genes mixing. I guess we'll have to wait and see when the child is born and how he/she develops.

@OP: Interesting story.

Deformity guaranteed! Why do you think most Guineans and (to a lesser extent) Senegalese always have children with all kinds of physical deformities compared to others? First cousins boinking and marrying each other. . . . Then they blame all sorts of sorcery as the reason for their problems. Em, dude. . . maybe U shouldnt have had se*xx with ur cousin!

No, thank you. Why don't you try it with your sister then you can come back and tell us how it went? Did you not notice I was telling Siena what I learned from the documentary, not what my person thoughts were.

Where did the insults come from?! Who said you was talking about "Your Personal thoughts"? I quoted you, BUT I DIDNT EVEN MAKE ANY DIRECT REFERENCE TO ANYTHING YOU SAID!!!

Wow! shocked shocked shocked

When I explain myself, I'm sure you'll feel like, uh. . . A FOOL!

I made a comment about Senegalese and Guineans having sex with relatives. Then, next, I said "then they complain of physical deformities". Finally, I was like instead of complaining and blaming sorcery and spells for their child's deformity, maybe they shouldnt be sleeping with their cousins ("then they blame all sorts of sorcery as the reason for their problems. Em, dude. . . maybe U shouldnt have had se*xx with your cousin"wink.

Are You Senegales/Guinean?

Are you married to/having sex with your Cousin?

Do you and your cousin have a deformed baby together?

Can you read/comprehend?

Re read the post again how does it refer to you?

SO, WHY WOULD YOU THINK THE LAST STATEMENT HAD ANYTHING IN HELL TO DO WITH THE DEVIL?

wOW! Apologies aint needed though; its actually nice for things like this to happen: YOU GET TO KNOW THE TRUE NATURE OF THE PERSON YOURE DEALING WITH

Abomination! Abomination! Abomination! Wonders Will Never End! I can not believe what I just read. Can the woman & her son be in their right senses? If the answer is in the affirmative, what can be responsible for this behaviour? And both of them, the woman especially sees nothing wrong with that? Let them carry on. God will teach them a lesson they can never forget in a hurry. They will with their own lips send the message round that it is wrong to emulate them, that is if they live to tell the story. What a big disgrace to womanhood.
