Hello there,

I realise that there are some people out there who need business partners
for one reason or the other (capital, management, skills, et cetera)

If you need a business partner, why not tell us something about your business
idea and why you need a business partner? You will probably get one here.

Please share.

My business idea is great and it something that can guarantee atleast 35% to 70% of the startup capital monthly, that's over 1100% return on investment(ROI) yearly.Well, the business is all about openning a MEGA CYBER CAFE' AND ISP SERVICE in My city.
Cyber cafe' is unarguably one of the regular money making business in the country. With an average of just 20 computers, cafes have the potential to make N1.44million monthly in Nigeria. That excludes revenue from other sources of income available to a cafe' business. However, due to continous low bandwidth, snail browsing speeds, high cost of VAST equipment, the cost of starting and running profifable cyber cafe' has gone up,causing the profit to nose dive too-as most customers can't browse for long because the servers are always slow.
According to GSMNEWS research, good sat equipment cost as much as $2,399 while an average cost as much as $1,500.Most cafe' cannot afford it,so they use cheap Vsat that cost just $500 or $750 while they also pay cheap bandwidth fee which are the reasons for the slow browsing experienced around the country.
But i have found a new way to run my own cyber cafe' business at a low fee of N12,000 monthly plus fast internet browsing. With the new Gsm internet sim card,i can set up a profitable, cost effective cyber cafe' business for unlimited high speed browsing hours here in Nigeria. It does not only give you fast internet browsing experience,it is cost effective, and can be used to create chains of cyber cafe' business thereby earning multiple income that runs into double digit millions.
One of The Gsm internet sim card can be shared with up-to 20 computers bringing your N400 cost on each computer a day to as low as N20,without dropping your browsing speed. So with this i can become a service provider (isp) to other organizations around me.
Most important thing about this business is that i have found a very good location for it and i have also made some enquiries from other cyber cafe' operators in my area and i think i know how to make my own mark in the business. I believe if i can find a good business minded individual like myself, the sky will not only be our limit but we will own it.So if you are interested in owning your own mega cyber cafe' that other cafe' operators will envy, hola me a call or email deluxe4life2003@yahoo.com ,thanks and see you over the top!

Am embarking on the deployment of kiosks at strategic locations for virtual tour of tourist facilities in the west african coast. I need someone to partner with who's got some knowledge of kiosks and is given to the creative process. There's a 100 per cent ROI within a year. i need someone who's can-do spirit and doggedness would inspire the creative and technical process of deployment. Also if there's one with some capital, you're welcome but terms are negotiable.

Yes, I think I need a business partner to help me secure contacts within Nigeria who are interested in items I have for sale. People in Nigeria often buy things at exhorbitant prices, due to the lack of thousands of competitors. I often travel to Nigeria, and I am usually shocked when I see items that cost next to nothing in the UK (If you know where to get them from - that is), selling for 3, 4 times their recommended retail price. Therefore, I have set up a project to aid sellers mostly, to buy standard (not substandard) goods from the UK at very very good prices. I have had quite a good response so far, and all I need now is to secure 2 or 3 contacts in Nigeria who are in the same line of business as I am in. (For now, I am interested in Perfume retailers.) Basically, I offer my partner what goods I currently have in stock, and he/she can proceed to offering them to retailers at his/her own price. Once they have secured an order, I will ship the goods on receipt of my portion. Currently, I have 53,000 Versace mini perfume vials worth =N=2.7m sitting at my suppliers warehouse. . .

Please, genuine people only!!! My brother works at EFCC head office, Ikoyi!!!

this thread is a perfecy way for people to steal other people's ideas.

Why not let those with ideas indicate and then all parties interested can use yahoo Messenger conferencing to tie up their deals, between themselves. cool

Nothing is nearer the truth than what you just said. This thread is an "IDEA".
A good Idea for the starter and a Bad Idea for those garrulously dolling out their had dreamt Ideas.
I can not be a party to this concept stealing concept.

Hi all,

This is a very nice thread, one that i would always be interest in.

Everyone made meaningful contributions though, but:

@Seun (admin) - I understand where you are coming from and the way you kinda swallow the criticism of other contributors. Although I support them - to an extent -. Nigeria is not a place where you would wanna share your business idea in a forum like this. But I beleive part of the 'business plan (if there is one) should be 'how to deal with competitors'. If one is scared of his/her idea being copied 'NOW', what about when the business is up and running, how would one be sure it won't be copied?

I enjoy competition a lot though, therefore, i am not really bothered. The more you are able to withstand the pressure from your competitors, make good use of 'Porter's Five Forces' of marketing and the 'Marketing Mix', then you need not worry if someone either steals or copied your idea.

You do have a good business in the making.

I would need some clarification, but certainly not here.
Would you want to email me: seun70@hotmail.com

Moreover, if I finance the whole project, what percentage of the business are you going to offer me?

Seun,

I expected you to be able to identify the issue raised by my post, which is protection of intellectual property.

No one is calling you a thief. All that is being said is that a way has to be devised to protect the originators of business ideas on this thread, simple. Ideas on how this can be done will be a great contribution to this thread.

Please try also to watch your language. No one should be called a thief or an idiot or digusting or worthless or dull on this forum. Don't break your own forum rules! cheesy

Hi,

I am in the Real Estate business here in Johannesburg and I'm a certified member of both the Estate Agency Affairs Board and The Chartered Institute of Estate Agents of South Africa and also hold a valid Fidelity Fund Certificate.

I have previously been working with one of the leading (top three) real estate companies here and have been amongst the National Top Performers on a few occassions. Due to my contributions to the group, I have been offered the opportunity to establish my own independently-run office under a franchise agreement with the group and I am presently in the process of setting up my franchise. The franchise fees is however where I need assistance.

I have been able to secure and sign for a very busy and active market area in which to operate and I initially intended to secure funds for the franchise fees from the equity available on my own residential property but this have not materialised.

Hence, I am looking for financial partners or 'investors' willing to invest in the franchise either on a short term, by assisting to pay the franchise fees, or long term. We can meet and discuss the  MOU.

From my experience in the property market in South Africa and my financial projections, the franchise is able to make very profitable return on whatever investments the investor(s) provide(s) and this will be guaranteed and secured. All the paper works are available for perusal at my attorneys here.

To me, this is an opportunity to enter into other areas of  Real Estate in South Afrca.

If interested, kindly call or sms on +27 (0)84 032 8555 or e-mail me at firstlandmarkinvestmentscc@yahoo.com

Talking about stealing ideas, this real estate market is big enough for as many players that wishes to participate and moreso, the regulations are getting stiffer and stiffer by the day which prevents some run-off-the-mill or fly-by-night players, any attempt to beat the system or try to play over-smart is, simply put, the easiest and shortest way to get to jail, if you know what I mean.[color=#990000]

Seun,

You need to watch your words carefully before exposing them to the whole world. What you say today may come to hunt you in 10 20 years. I've been a silent participant on this forum for some time and I thought age might be one of the reasons you behave the way you do. I put your age inbtw 25 and 30-let me know if that is wrong. Your writing style reflects your thought process and though I notice intelligence, I also notice a very destructive arrogant pride, elephantiasis of ego and 'I know it all' mentality. That is why you will refer to all Nigerians as disgusting, worthless and dull.

I strongly take an exception to that and I will ask that you apologize to everyone on this forum.
Re: Do You Need A Business Partner? by Seun(m): 10:06pm On May 27, 2007
I cannot forgive anyone who implies that I am an IP thief after reading all my business ideas and stories for free. angry
I hereby apologize to myself for breaking my forum rules once again, but it definitely was worth it!
Re: Do You Need A Business Partner? by enolase(m): 11:37am On May 28, 2007
Seun, you are not a thief and no one is trying to insinuate you are one.

All I was trying to say is that people's innovative ideas have to be protected to some extent to prevent their being hijacked by others.

That is why I suggested that the people who are interested in venturing into a particualr business should not have their ideas exposed to the entire world on this forum. Remember the internet is global.

What I am saying is that the forum can serve to bring them together, then the people involved can use a facility like Yahoo messenger conferencing to discuss their plans.

That way, some degree of online protection is achieved.

Re: Do You Need A Business Partner? by ijogbon(m): 6:42pm On May 28, 2007
A business Idea is just that - a business idea.

If you have a business idea I would say please feel free to share it on this forum because even if people know your idea the chances that they will steal it and be able to take advantage of it to your detriment is quite slim for good ideas.

What makes an idea successful is its competitive advantage, comprising of competents (the people who manage the idea), competencies (the skills and discipline of these people) and capabilities as you can all see these are inherent in the people.

Putting your idea here makes it easily accessible to people who would never have heard about it. If you say 'lets chat on email' that is a waste of time for people like me because I would rather you put this idea up here where I can easily analyse it and get feedback from other forum members. That is the essense of a forum.

What makes you think that after chatting with me on email I can not still steal your idea? Or even when the idea is fully set up I can not sack you?

Business is a risk, and many successful ideas are very simple. It is the combination of opportunity, people and resources that make them succeed. As i see it any one posting here will probably only have one so it is a gamble worth taking.
