Kogi 2019: PDP Cautions APC Against Ethnic Politics Ahead Of Kogi Guber Poll by skypper: 8:16am On Oct 08, 2019
According to the opposition party, the people of the state are determined to vote him out on Saturday, November 16
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has cautioned the All Progressives Congress (APC) to refrain from playing the ethnic card ahead of the gubernatorial election in Kogi state.
The opposition party told the ruling party to get ready to face the consequences of poor governance it foisted on the people of the state since 2016.

The warning was given in Lokoja by the national publicity secretary of the party, Kola Ologbondiyan.

Ologbondiyan gave the warning in Lokoja, during the inauguration of the PDP's governorship campaign committees, in Lokoja.

He described the APC administration under Governor Yahaya Bello as a complete failure and embarrassment to the people of the state.

Ologbondiyan said: “The people of Kogi state have suffered enough under Governor Yahaya Bello and the APC. Many of our citizens have lost their loved ones and their breadwinners; they have lost husbands, wives children and other loved ones, to the excruciating hardship caused by non-payment of their salary and pensions by Governor Bello. There is no way he can be re-elected."

He advised Governor Bello to start preparing his handover notes, saying the people of the state are determined to vote him out on Saturday, November 16.

cool

PDP are really disgusting alarmist...

They need to understand that raising false alarm and propaganda doesnt win votes anymore... APC already exhuasted that card on Jonathan at the 2015 general election....

The new bankable alternative to win power as an opposition is for PDP to copy the Seyi Makinde model of campaign....

Makinde knew in terms of road , Ajimobi and APC did wonders, in terms of Seciurity Opreation Burst was top notch but in terms of CHaracter and Humility Ajimobi and APC failed woefully, so Seyi Makinde promised Oyo what Ajimobi lacked and he won

Some people are born demons.
Imagined what a national publicity secretary of a political party is saying!
The former governor, Dr Idris wada is from his party(PDP),was elected in December 2011, served kogi States for 8years and left a backlog of salary of 16 months, and minimum wage arrear of 18,000, almost 50% of 18 months and debt of 156 billion for his predecessor Gov. Yahaya bello who was elected in 2016.
Many projects abundant including cottage industries which became moribund during wada's era.
How did PDP and kola expect a turn around in just less than 4 years when it took them 8 years to destroy the legacy of late Abubakar Audu and previous governors who performed better than their successors?
Talk is cheap and governance is different politics.
PDP understand the politics of Nigeria but doesn't understand the governance of the country, that is why the messed up the country using politics maradonian bruhaha and counter balancing. In fact, they win(rigged) the politics to Bleep the masses

Oga, democracy in most parts of the world operating a Presidential system gives an incumbent 4 years to prove he has the capacity to better the lives of the citizens under his watch irrespective of how or in what condition he met them.

If tenures were open ended and if performance was not time constrained or calibrated every politician will fold his hands and do nothing. If time considerations were to be given the past governor will still be in power and no elections will hold until he fixed things.

I have heard this stupid excuse at all levels from the ruling APC but I did not hear the PDP ever say they lost elections or failed performance due to decades of preceding military misrule. This is untenable, lazy and a tacid admittance of failure. Presidents, governors and councillors are elected to perform, to find and administer solutions not give excuses. They promised to.

No school will give you unlimited time to learn a skill or build mental competence. They folllow a curriculum of teaching and set examinations at the end of semester or session whether an individial candidate is ready or not. Pass or fail is time regulated.

Yahaya Bello's examination comes up in November. We are not interested in whether he has been reading or playing around. If the citizen examiners find him worthy he will pass and if they don't he will be rusticated, period. No sentiments.

All we say to the people of Kogi, protect the standards of your school and give power only to deserving grads. Kogi State doesn't have to be a School of Hard Knocks.

APC masters the game of Ethnic politics, violence, thuggery, rigging etc, and can't do without that, so PDP should better device a means of checkmating them and not just warning them

Hehehehe.... See talks. Who said what you typed above! In fact, if PDP have any shame left in them, they should not filled a candidate in the November election considering the way they bleeped kogi state during Wada's era. SDP have a better chance to perform better than them.
the destructive governance they (PDP) mated on the people during their reign and now turning around to play to the gallery like some austrich.
They must admit they failed asked for forgiveness and repent before coming back to govern with the consent of the people.
What was the state of education in kogi state compare to now from secondary schools to colleges?
I don't support Bello but he performed more than Idris wada who served for 4yrs. Do your research and you will admit it. As per IGR + subvention to work done ratio.
