i want to change the wheels and tyre on my honda oddessey to bigger ones. i currently have on the car 205/65 R15 and i'm thinking of changing to something like 205/70R16.

please i need advice if there's any negative implication.

Changing your tires & rims from 205/65 R15 to 205/70 R16 wouldn't achieve you objective because they are both of the same height (205). My advice to you is to simply change your tires only to say 225/65 R15. That way you would achieve your aim and save cost.

i thought the 205 is the width, well from my findings anyway while the 65 is the height (aspect ratio). i'm also afraid big tire could add more weight to the car joints hence the consideration for a 16 or 17 rim

I dont know if it applies to your car, my car manual informs of high fuel consumption with bigger tyres!

your not going more than an inch higher, It shouldn't have any negative effect

usually, u dont eat ur cake n ve it, more surface area on the road increases friction and this tells the car there's more work to be done, and u cant do more work for free, lol so what do u think would happen? , ur guess is as good as mine.
