I pity the recruiters too. How can they separate the candidates, conduct credible test and come up with the best candidates. |
| Re: Unemployment (NDLEA Recruitment Test) PH Venue: God Help Nigeria by monkeyleg: 5:08pm On Nov 14, 2010 |
The Finance minister once suggested that the unemployment rate in Nigeria was about 20%. I think he needs to revise that figure quickly. For those who dont know how we got here, if you dont invest in your country and your people you are likely to have this scenario. No investment in education, infrastructure, health, Job creation, Agriculture. Absolute nothing. And more importantly, we continue on the same road, by choosing the wrong people to lead us, indication shows it is not going to be different come 2011. |

I did not get this picture when I first clicked on this tread, I thought this people were watching a match or something. Don't tell me this people are all looking for jobs. No wonder militancy has become an uncontrollable monster that has developed a life of its own. |

Haaaaaaaaahhh! A real timebomb - ticking. They actually want it that way. I mean Abuja warlords. They are happy to see some people as the dregs of their society. Their oppressive tendencies get nurtured when they see scenes like this. Pathetic. Heart-rending! |

this is really really sad after someone spent about 22-25 years in schools and institutions, then getting out not finding any job for them, it is really really sad the youths of this country are very very patience with the government and now the government is now taking it for granted!!!! and yet they say kidnappers, arm robbers and co are destroying this country, mean while it is them that are destroying this country ![]() |

Very sad - successive and present leaders have failed Nigeria woefully - when are we going to rise and come out of t enjoying a lifestyle of suffering and smiling -. GEJ should not be allowed to rule Nigeria it will be another wasted 4 years. |

To be sincere if a mad man wakes up one day and kill every living poltician on sight I might not be moved by the mayhem. This sitiuation should not be allowed to continue unabated. ![]() |

@Pharoh, will you vote for him if he did contest. I find it more troubling that we Nigerians are not prepared to ever face up to reality. I coin that phrase Political Laziness, because that is what we are. |
| Re: Unemployment (NDLEA Recruitment Test) PH Venue: God Help Nigeria by Pharoh: 6:48pm On Nov 14, 2010 |
@monkeyleg No i will not vote for him, he has to prove to me first that he is the best man for the job then i can vote for him or her. So many internet critics here on nairaland and i don't think they will do better if they get there as well. Its time for people to put their money where their mouth his by coming out to contest instead of screaming here on nairaland. |

Pharoh: why should i contest for presidency, does anyone know me talkless of alh harem. pls do not be ridiculous here. if jonathan does not know what to do, then he should leave to those that know what to do people keep shouting jonathan, jonathan. within the time period yaradua's death to today, what is the significant impact he has put to the economy of nigeria. i remember when he said he was doing electricity and he imported a lot to turbains. i would like to ask u where are the turbains or where is the million he took from the world bank for this commodity are u sure it is not the money he is using for campaign. i believe a serious person that wants to develop nigeria is a person that does constant electricity with 6 months in office |

monkeyleg: The Finance Minister is clueless, he has disregarded every international economic rating of Nigeria, i dont think he will ever admit unemployment is up to 1% sef. He is a pure disappointment! It is sad to see this, our youths are suffering while some Vote Wisely, Vote Ribadu! |

blacksta: They call it misallocation of blame ![]() You blame every thing on GEJ's meager 2 year stint in office ![]() You have to go back through Yardua, OBJ, Abubakar, Abacha, IBB, etc to undersatnd what's going on. And what's going on is that the structure of this thing called Nigeria is faulty. Unemployement was used to punish the Igbos and their high number of graduates, now that cancer has reached even the most privilaged Hausa/Fulani ![]() |

naijaking1: I was only merely targeting the system the produces the likes of GEJ. Another 4 years of that system will mean more misery for the masses. |
| Re: Unemployment (NDLEA Recruitment Test) PH Venue: God Help Nigeria by ladi02(m): 8:53pm On Nov 14, 2010 |
naijaking1: OBJ put this country on a path to economic growth, do u want to compare the economic condition during abacha or the short time abubakar spent there. As much as i dont like obj i still feel his time as president was full of economic prosperity for nigerians. Immediately yarádua came up with his own policies, this economy was put in reverse. |

| Re: Unemployment (NDLEA Recruitment Test) PH Venue: God Help Nigeria by monkeyleg: 10:01pm On Nov 14, 2010 |
@Pharoh, Not everyone is going to end up a politician, but the part people on the internet can play is to get the debate going. i ofetn ask very simple questions like Why do you think GEJ is best suited to the top job Why do you feel we must all vote for him What are the benefits if having GEJ as president What is he likely to archieve in 4yrs What is worng with trying other candidates from othe parties These are simple questions that can get a proper discuss going. But what seems to happen in most cases is that people get cuaght up in emotions and stop looking at the porblem in Nigeria logically |
| Re: Unemployment (NDLEA Recruitment Test) PH Venue: God Help Nigeria by naijaking1: 2:32am On Nov 15, 2010 |
^^^^ You ask very good democratic questions, unfortunately, if you replace GEJ with IBB, Buhari, or Atiku, you will still end up with same quamire. I hope that GEJ's unique background will make him unfold fundamental structural changes, if he's not beholden to any godfather or any dominating ethnic group. |

Something is fundamentally wrong with us as a nation. How on earth did we get into a situation where that kind of crowd will be in the Labour Market in PH alone. Wow! Imagine if that crowd becomes employers of labour. Nigeria will be transformed. Me think our government should empower the youth through a specialised programme that will include training and funding. |

On this same Nairaland some people were arguing that unemployment rate is 3%. |

Ndlea actually used this exercise to extort nigerians. Each of these persons actually paid a whopping fee to participate. This is alarming and unacceptable. We need a presidential candidate who is an industrialist. Who will give "productive employment not settlement employment". |

OBJ put this country on a path to economic growth, do u want to compare the economic condition during abacha or the short time abubakar spent there. As much as i dont like obj i still feel his time as president was full of economic prosperity for nigerians. Immediately yarádua came up with his own policies, this economy was put in reverse. Exactly my thought, OBJ's tenure was a blessing to this country, unfortunately massive corruption also accompanied his administration. Jonathan appears to have some of those qualities, if only he could settle and get down to business. |

monkeyleg: Guy you are very real.Nigerians are always caught up in sheepishly following a band wagon. In Igbo they say Eghu n'agba agba n'esi n'otuntun(literally meaning "the signs that a goat will be fat starts from birth" .I expect a claim in 2011 that Governments failure in 2010 is because the whole year was used for elections. |

this picture has probably been doctored or tailored to deliberately augment or exaggerate the scenary of desperate applicants at the venue, cant believe such crowd wud show up for test, at the end they probably need 500 pple or more nation wide, sickening1 |
