he(scammers) must be good at it because he said i should recharge with this code *123*the code sent in the msg*N2000 recharge card# then it became suspicious that i stated calling people to confirm if there is any promo like that from glo network. when i could not get definite answer i went online to check their website where i could not find such promo.

but my problem with all this network is that you cann't call their customer center and get through for 2hrs and how many people will try to verify but jumping to this offer most especially when you can see thesame msg from thesame ID that sand other relevant messages to you.

Well, the message i just received from Glo today 11/03/2011 reads : Congratulations! You have won! =N=2m in on-going Seasonal RECHARGE & WIN Promo with ACTIVATING CODE: 0634. Call 121 or help line 08051503657.

I was asked to purchase =N=2,000.00 GLO RECHARGE CARD  and replace 0634 with *123*.

I tried to call Glo customer care 121, 500, to no avail in other to confirm the authenticity 

I am not going to recharge anything because I believe I'm being scammed!

Pls friends, sms or call from any network operator telling you of your victory and then ask you to send any money, recharge card, our your bank account, just delete the sms or drop the call with any delay.

i just got the exact same text message from Glo but it the number is 08077541127,

I just received a message on my Airtel today at 3:49pm saying, Congratulations! You have won! =N=2m in the on-going Seasonal RECHARGE & WIN Promo. Batch No: AR 17 Call Help Line 0708570718211 for details! PLEASE ITS A SCAM.

I got the message today around 6.02am but receive time on the message is 10.36am which make me suspect I want to be scam.

"Congratulation! you hav won N1M in ongoing Airtel Specialseasonal RECHARGE & WIN PROMO. with Activating code 0211.Call 141 OR HELPLINE: 08129153574.Airtel2good!"

I try to trace the stream if it will lead to the ocean. I called i was told to come to Abuja where the draw will took place or recharge my phone with N1000 with activationg code. my money was deducted for the call. that is where everything will end.

I mail one of Airtel staff and reply:

It is fraud. If you win in any of our promos, we do not send you SMS. We call with a particular number, 0802 190 0000.

Sorry to say this, but YOU DESERVED IT! Its greediness that caused u and ur mummy to lose 20k. Ask urself first, did u enter any promo? Can u win a promo that u didnt enter in the first place? Why dont u confirm from airtel FIRST before paying in the money? 20k to clear a cheque
