Would it be too much to check out the disease/illnesses of a potential partner's family history before getting involved with them in the event that it becomes serious and you two may have children together? (for example finding out if their family has a history of cancer, sickle cell; etc.) and would it be morally wrong to leave someone because of this (if they do have illnesses in family)? *if you are confused tell me, i will elaborate =] (kunbee go away lol) |

*stares @ 190* @Ms.Eve, this question applies to me because I have what is called Sickle cell trait. it means i do not have sickle cell however if i were to have a child with a man who does or has the trait, out children have a higher probability of having full sickle cell, which is a painful disease. Naturally i do not want my future kids to suffer and i was watching a show on this topic so i decided to get some NL feedback. |

My brother just had a daughter and due to his rapid weight gain (common on his fathers side of the family) he has breathing problems and his digestion "ability" is off a bit. well his daughter is having a similar problem. she is about 6 months old and when ever I am baby sitting her she passes a lot of gas and requires medication  |
