There are many people who speak English fluently but speak their own language better. Just because it seems as if someone has a perfect understanding of English does not mean they speak it better than their own native language. Only city Nigerians and city Africans are this way. They have an utter lack of respect for tradition and are under the false assumption that they are inferior. They lack self-pride.

Very well, i like to give you the benefit of doubt-that you speak your Fulani language better, despite your efficiency in the English language, and i am also aware of the superfluous nature of the Hausa language (as compared to the other Nigerian languages).

Hausa and Fulani are two very different languages. I am able to comprehend and communicate in the Hausa language, though to a lesser extent than my Fulfulde native tongue. I don't see the point of behaving like a European when it isn't who I am. I would be shaming my ancestors.

Although most Fulani are Muslim, not all are. Some are Christian and some follow the traditional ways.

Religion does not completely play a part in cultural practises...An Ethiopian Christian does not have the same culture as a European Christian. A Fulani Muslim does not have the same culture as an Arab Muslim.

Culture and Religion are not synonymous. We have far different cultures from many predominately Muslim people.

I honestly don't care if he marries a white woman, nothing wrong with that. My biggest issue with him is his approach to black people and how he suckers up to white people while speaking in disdain of black people.

It is a very sensible argument. Corruption is not the only reason why African countries are not doing well. There is a lot of corruption in Western societies.

So, what are the other reasons why African countries aren't doing well? I don't seem to see much of other reasons except the obvious one that many Africans have your kind of mind-set, such mentality that hinders development: how could any open-minded person compare African corruption with that of the west?

A lot have your mindset which is holding back productivity. They want to be European and would rather have nothing to do with Africa.

A lot of people allow themselves to be brainwashed in ethnic and religious politics as well. If Nigerians could get past their differences and embrace them like India has done to some extent, we would be on the right track potentially.

Nigeria needs leaders who love the country and its people. People who will build the proper infrastructures like huge WANs and MANs over fiber optics or 4G LTE. A need to want to improve technology (defense systems, better weaponry, better encrypted network security, etc. Etc.)

There is a lot to be done in Nigeria. We also need to recognise that we are Africans and not Westerners or Europeans. The Indians still place a high value on their culture but yet are doing very well.

A lot of cultures do not have this syndrome of being copy cats. India, China, Japan, South Korea, Brazil, are all successful utilising their own methods.

In order for a nation to be successful, they must find a means or way of doing things that work for them, not someone else's method. Do you really think Mali which comprised of Timbuktu, one of the richest cities of all time were busy copying Europeans? Absolutely not! They did things their own way.

What works for one person does not often work for others.
