Hey, people. I was wondering if anyone could tell me if java servlets or java server pages can do the same or more than php? I know java SE and ME. I would hate to have to learn some completely new by studying PHP when I could have studied Java servlets. Thanks everyone.

Jsp can do every thing u can do with other scripting languages (asp,php etc). But you should know that php has been proven to be the fasted of all

learn java servlets after u learn php if u ever have to learn that crap
the alternative is ajax
ie asyncronous java script.
Java servlets is client sided .
Ie based on user browser
bt php is da bomb
serverside.
Php builds advanced sites like nairaland
then java puts all those pop ups
so they aint the same at all.
