The Serving Overseer of the LATTER RAIN ASSEMBLY as well as the Convener of the Save Nigeria Group,Pastor Tunde Bakare has been chosen as the Newswatch Magazine's Man of the Year for his show of raw courage and determination to ensure good governance through his campaign on the streets.

According to the Magazine,our Man of the Year is a personality who endeared himself to millions of Nigerians in 2010 for good governance and constitutionalism.Tunde Bakare influenced political events greatly in 2010,especially during the period of uncertainty heralded by the ailment and long absence of President Umaru Yar' Adua who later died.Bakare is doing a lot more to ensure that the 2011 elections lead to the choice of credible leaders.

Bola Ahmed Tinubu,immediate past Governor of Lagos State and Dora Akunyili,former information minister,now a senatorial aspirant were also nominated.

Newswatch debuted almost twenty-six years ago.It blazed the trail in weekly news magazine in Nigeria and the late Dele Giwa was one of the founding editors.
