Barely four days after the mysterious death of Tunisia ‘94 Nations Cup hero, Uche Okafor in the US, another ex-Nigerian international, Gideon Njoku has died. Gideon Njoku, a former Nigerian international and former coach of ACB Football club of Lagos, is dead. Njoku died of cardiac arrest yesterday morning at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH)in Idi-Araba at the age of 63.

His son, Godswill, who confirmed his death said Njoku, who had gone to his hometown Uba Mbaoma-Emii in Imo State was rushed back to Lagos yesterday morning after he fell sick.

He was immediately admitted at LUTH where he eventually died. Njoku, a former Nigerian international and a member of Nigeria's 1973 Africa Games gold winning football team, was also a former Team manger of Enyimba FC of Aba.
