CPS to the Lagos State Governor, Gboyega Akosile

#COVID19 Update by the Incident Commander, Governor @jidesanwoolu

Good people of Lagos,

I have more great news from our isolation facilities. Today, 31 fully recovered COVID19Lagos patients; 12 females and 19 males, all Nigerians were discharged to join the society.

https://twitter.com/gboyegaakosile/status/1264627717426872326?s=19

The patients; 1 from the Mainland Infectious Disease Hospital, Yaba, 13 from Onikan, 11 from Gbagada, 5 from Agidingbi and 1 from Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) Isolation Centres were discharged having fully recovered and tested negative to COVID19.

https://twitter.com/gboyegaakosile/status/1264628033434025984?s=19

With this, the number of patients successfully managed and discharged from our Isolation facilities has risen to 738.

The discharge of #COVID19 patients is encouraging and we thank our front line health workers for the remarkable progress we have made.

https://twitter.com/gboyegaakosile/status/1264628355258867714?s=19

I urge us all not to relent in the battle against the this global pandemic, we must continue to practice hand hygiene, wear a mask and observe physically distance when outdoor.

https://twitter.com/gboyegaakosile/status/1264628359079886854?s=19

If we continue to do the right things and obey the stipulated public health safety guidelines, the chain of #COVID19 transmission can be broken in our State.

I'm very glad from day one till this moment I never believe in this covid19 of a thing. Even those calling me ignorant and fool in this platform and other social media platforms as well as in our office are all confused and doubting it now.
By now, they thought that we all might have die or infected by this virus.

I laugh when people say Covid-19 isn't real.
I have never seen more deaths like i have seen within these past weeks in my enter life.

The truth is, alot of people would get it without showing any symptoms due to strong immune system like mine and will keep infecting others without knowing till someone with a weaker immune system picks it up as start exhibiting severe symptoms.

The bad part is, you don't know who has a strong or a weak immune system. If your immune can't handle it, it's could be fatal on you.

Those videos you see on social media of Covid-19 patients coughing and grasping for air are so real.
It's something we see here everyday in our ward.

Na make person just recover test Negative back.

So far so good, NCDC has been trying with the feeding, drugs and making our centre as conducive as they can make it be.

I wish and hope they can maintain it.

Y'all outside should say safe please.

Clue that you may likely have got it.
If you're having symptoms of Malaria, loss of tastes and smell, just look for the nearest testing center to confirm if you're positive or negative.

I would gladly answer questions from anyone.

There are several reasons why this virus cannot hit us hard in Africa like it does in other continents and we should thank God for that. That doesn’t mean that it is audio. You don’t believe in it doesn’t mean that you recruit others into your ignorance .
