National Operator, Globacom, has crashed its call rate for international destinations from N39 to N10 per minute in a special IDD promo for the festive season. With the new call rate, all Glo customers can now make calls at only N10 per minute using their Glo Mobile lines to both mobile and fixed lines in the United States of America, India, China, Hong Kong, Canada and Singapore .

Similarly, customers can also make calls at N10 minutes only to fixed phones in the United Kingdom Australia , France , Germany , Ireland , Israel , Italy , Mexico and the Netherlands .

The unique offer was unveiled at a press conference held yesterday at the Mike Adenuga Towers headquarters of Globacom in Victoria Island, Lagos. The special call rate of N10 per minute is available till the 28th day of February, 2011.

According to Globacom’s Head of Marketing, Navdeep Kapur, the new call rate provides an easy way for subscribers to stay in touch with their friends, family and business associates overseas at the rate of N10 per minutes, and is available to both prepaid as well as postpaid customers on the Glo network, irrespective of the tariff plan, time or location.

This, he said, was in synchronisation with the philosophy of Glo to offer more at all times, in different facets of life and indeed to offer more than anyone else.

Kapur described Globacom as an innovative operator as well as a brand that valued relationships and strove to help build family and friendship ties among its subscribers. “Our subscribers can easily reach out to their loved ones abroad throughout the duration of the promo without spending a fortune on calls.”

He said Glo has been at the forefront of driving revolutionary changes in the Nigerian telecommunications industry, “Our overall objective in this regard is to continue to satisfy our customers offering world -class services at an affordable price.

“Since the launch of per second billing in 2003, Nigerians have come to look at Globacom with huge expectations. We will continue to delight our customers with unique value-added offerings.”
