- THE EXPENDABLES 2 will be getting a PG-13 rating because Chuck Norris is in it.

"In The Expendables 2, it had a lot of hard language in there, that would prevent a lot of young people from going to see it. I said, I don't do movies like that. I didn't do them in the past, I didn't do them on my TV series. I said, if you can't cut out all the language, hardcore language, I can't do it. So they did, and they made it a PG-13 film, so kids can go see it." - Chuck Norris

The Expendables 2 comes to theaters August 17th, 2012 and stars Jason Statham, Bruce Willis, Liam Hemsworth, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sylvester Stallone, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Chuck Norris, Jet Li. The film is directed by Simon West.

- George Lucas set to retire after the release of RED TAILS.
The Star Wars films director had this to say: "I'm retiring. I'm moving away from the business, from the company, from all this kind of stuff."

It took George Lucas twenty years or more to get Red Tails off the ground. And he is disappointed in the lack of interest in it, now that its set to open on Friday. According to him, he couldn't even get certain studio executives to screen the film.

RED TAILS comes to theaters January 20 2012.

I can safely say that the last time I saw Chuck Norris on TV is probably almost a decade ago. That dude is one very good badass.

Awww, I hope George is not retiring with a broken heart. I saw clips of Red Tails and he was interviewed on Aljazeera about it. Seems he really put a lotta effort to bring about the film. It's a bit naive of him that the powers that be are not kumbaya about it. And all black cast potraying valor for Uncle Sam? Even I, am a bit cynical about it. I've always loved George as a character even though I think he's over rated with the whole Star Wars thing. I'll be sad to see him leave the movie business

- Ben Affleck will be direct and star in the upcoming film ARGOS. Argos is about the rescue of six U.S. diplomats from Tehran, Iran during the 1979 Iran hostage crisis.

- Platinum Studios Inc. chairman Scott Mitchell Rosenberg and producer Mark Canton (300: Battle of Artemisia, Immortals) announced today that they are immediately putting the Platinum Studios comic book ATLANTIS RISING into development for a new, ongoing film franchise. Atlantis Rising is just one of the titles in Platinum Studios' international library of thousands of comic book characters which it adapts, produces, and licenses for all forms of media.

Wait there's an Evil Dead re make? Yikes! Creativity is lacking in Hollywood for sure.

I hear there's a part 2 for the following movies
Clash of the titans
Green Lantern

CLEARLY someone is bonkers! The first films SUCKED; why anyone would wanna shoot a part 2 is beyond me.
Re: US And UK Box Office. New Releases. News And Rumours by iice(f): 3:22am On Jan 26, 2012
Lol Chika, there is a trailer for Clash of the Titans 2. I forgot the title.

I maybe the only one but i think Pitt is more deserving this year than Clooney.
Both very great performances, but Pitt pushed it more.
They have been some great performances this year and thankfully not many musicals tongue
Shame Fassbender didn't get nominated pun not intended

Chika, was Rooney Mara any good?
Coz she took the spot that should have been either Theron's or Swinton's.
Re: US And UK Box Office. New Releases. News And Rumours by obinna5000(m): 11:10am On Jan 26, 2012
@iice and chika98
It's called WRATH OF THE TITANS.  cheesy

This poster for SHAME got banned in Hungary.

Re: US And UK Box Office. New Releases. News And Rumours by chika98: 5:25pm On Jan 26, 2012
LOL! why won't they ban it? Doesn't that look like semen? gross!

Yeah I watched the trailer last night. Wrath of the titans indeed. You know the pathetic thing? I'll watch it cry I like Sam Wellington plus Liam smiley

Rooney Mara was pretty good. I won't say GREAT but she did good.
I think once you've watched the original then this remake will leave a bad taste in your mouth. It just doesn't measure up.

Oh Fassbender makes me weak in the knees and I don't even fancy white men. grin

I do agree though; I don't want Clooney to be the poster boy for Oscars this year. Pitt did a much better job.
Oh well the Oscars will be soooo predictable. I can already tell who's gonna win what. *Snoozefest*
Re: US And UK Box Office. New Releases. News And Rumours by iice(f): 5:37pm On Jan 26, 2012
Lol. Wellington is novelty for me. Over him now. That non-changeable accent doesn't work for me.
That's one of the reasons im not keen on watching the remake of Dragon Tattoo. Craig is the same way.
Another would be i've had the experience of comparing an original movie to the remake (Let the right one in/Le me in). It didn't work for me.

I know i'll still watch Wrath of the Titans. Just because it's mythology.
Re: US And UK Box Office. New Releases. News And Rumours by chika98: 11:47pm On Jan 26, 2012
The same reason I'll be watching Wrath of the Titans too. We're just pathetic grin wink
I love Daniel though and I can't wait for Bond to come back. cool

Meanwhile I hear Thandie and Chiwetel has been cast for the screen adaptation of Half a Yellow Sun.
Chiwetel I see but Thandie??
Re: US And UK Box Office. New Releases. News And Rumours by iice(f): 5:32pm On Jan 27, 2012

Re: US And UK Box Office. New Releases. News And Rumours by kunlefox(m): 7:26pm On Feb 04, 2012
Seriously i will give anything for that rooney mara chic to go away already, she was just okay in TGWTDT,she didn't blow me away like the critics has potrayed her to be, buh i know she got the nod for how far she went to get into the character of 'lizbeth salander' with the piercing, tattoos and all the edgy stuffs she pulled off, that chic is super annoying, she got A-list then start badmouthing her past jobs saying she auditioned for the nightmare on elm street for the sake of it,she never wanted to get the role, she even called her stint on "law & order" stupid waste of time, like seriously who does that,
Her on that oscar nom. is pretty much a waste of slot that should have gone to charlize or tilda, i'm 100% sure she ain't gonna win tho
