Hello there Every one in this room, I am Bplenty, I have been on this forum for a couple of weeks now and i have some questions to ask as regards a tokunbo car my dad just bought, its a 98 Honda Accord Sedan car, with 4 plugs and it is quite good. It runs great, but we have a problem with our Cd Player, anytime we put it on to play, it alway shows a error code sign, when we asked some few expects, we were told it can be decoded at ladipo. And since i am new to this forum and this is my first posting, I am looking to ask some users on here, if they know how i can decode the cd player so it can work.

this is the car specifications.

1998 HONDA ACCORD EX
VIN # : 1HGCG6672WA086111
SEDAN 4 DR
2.3L L4 SFI OHV / FRONT WHEEL DRIVE

I can help you decode the Factory Honda CD Player. I used to drive the 2000 model and mine was decoded as well. i am in Lagos if you are then you can contact me on 08023050886, i can decode it in 10 minutes. Thanks

If you are in NJ you can call a honda dealership and tell them you situation and your VIN maybe they will help otherwise the cardwith PIN# should be in the owners manual. If don't think anyone can easily fix it for you in Naija unless a dealer.

Let me know when the battery died or if it was disconnected.
You can google your problem or,
1. Check your glove compartment on the outerpanel leftside
2. Under the lid of the fusebox under the hood.

There will be a white sticker with a 9 digit (with one letter F) code in glove box.

Your 5 digit pin is 4 numbers where the first is also the last i.e 2514 is 25142.

In addition to Sultaan's suggestion, if you don't have the manual you can also check the glove compartment (front of passenger side), the code is sometimes written there. You will see two set of numbers, the first is the model number and the second is the code. All you need is to enter the code.

If you don't have the code, you can remove the CD player and post the serial/model number from the back of the CD player to me. I will call a Honda dealer, retrieve the code and post it back on the forum. You will need to keep this code because you will need it everytime the battery is removed or disconnected.

Thanks for your response. I actually followed your instuctions in your earlier post of 30 June before I made my post. The former owner must have overcleaned the car. I could not find any sticker anywhere in the car. I even checked the booth.
I am still looking out for help pls.

Hello, I have a 1999 Honda Accord with the same situation as most everyone else on this page. I bought the car after leasing it for 3 months and so I never received (or I lost) the Audio Card which should have had the anti-theft code for my cd player. Please help me find out what the code is. I have searched every accessible part of my car including the both side fuse boxes for a white sticker w/ the code but have not found anything.
