I am begining to think that a core notherner believes that he is born to rule let every person in this house read apart This election is not all about incorruptgible and corruptgible it is about the mentality that the north must rule at all cost the other day when people were glamouring for consesus candidate from the north nobody talks of PDP corruption now a minority (the hen that lay the golden egg emerges as PDP flag bearer) some people hijack nairaland to spearhead to campaign against Jonathan using deceptive approach. as long as there is no equity in this country Nigeria will seize to exist from 2011 when Buhari emerges as the Pres. Enough of all these rubbish we know what is behind this smear campaign let stay and watch.

Your logic is flawed. There are quite literally millions of Southerners voting for Buhari. Do you know why they are doing this? I suggest you spend some time to really analyse this question and when you eventually come to your conclusions you will realise that this country is bigger than the "who's turn is next" tribalism, it's about "who is fit and proper to lead".

It would be more pleasing to the eyes and make for better understanding if you could punctuate your sentences.

Who are the people that hijacked Nairaland to campaign against Jonathan using a deceptive approach?

I won't argue with you because you clearly don't understand what's going on in this country. Please do some more research. May I suggest you start with the total monies spent by NNPC to import refined products into this country for the quarter just passed in order to get your "stabilised fuel" prices. May I also suggest you find out which companies won the contracts to import said fuel, as well as the margins these companies are operating? When you've done all your research please come back and we'll talk further.

What we need is a true democrat not an ethnic and religious bigot that will use his eight years to hunt foes.

Just as your submission is grammatically flawed,so is your view.Your views are jaundiced! Take time to study and understand issues before you write,we have millions of literate southerns that will vote BB so stop peddling your false ideas. If you are okay with the status quo, then vote your stooge president to continue, but GOD in his infinite mercies will not let that happen. 12 years of inaction is a waste! We need a change we can see. angry angry angry angry angry angry angry

Please transcend beyond making general statements that catch your fancy. How in concrete terms is Buhari an ethnic/religious bigot? Thankfully, he has been in the public domain since 1983. Provide an objective analysis and desist from making inflammatory and subjective statements.

Secondly, who are his 'foes'? Are they people perceived to be corrupt?

Buhari candidature (CPC) represent violence, it is against tenet of democracy, we dont need a violence leaders at this point in time.

Mr. Pukkah can you convince nigerians about this your Buhari achievement for 2 and a half year. He is unsellable except you want to be sentimental or your brother lost primary to Jonathan as the case is.

Nigeria is bigger than any 1 individual. No Pastor as a president can stop muslims from praying. No Malam as a president can stop the Christian from praying. Nigerians have gone beyond the level u r portraying. Always support ur arguments with valid facts. Buharis Track record did not show him to have divisional tendencies. Infact non of the presidential candidates have divisional tendencies.
What Nigerians are saying is that let the resources be truly utilized for the people not to fund Cult-like individuals calling themselves PDP. that is Justice and fairness to all Nigerians (Niger delta, south, north, east and west). Jst know that Integrity and justice in leadership is a universal language of humanity. It is not religion or tribe. Anybody that can deliver that is what we require regardless of where he is comin from or his religion.
Re: If Buhari Wins That Is The End Of Nigeria by Nobody: 4:48pm On Apr 05, 2011
Surprised the issue of ending corruption is making waves now, and not during GEJ vs PDP northerners(Atiku et al) time? It's because, then all of them, both Southern(GEJ) and northern contenders(Atiku, IBB et al) are all one the same? We didn't border, because while Atiku and co are corrupt, GEJ doesn't have bicep to fight corruption.

Suddenly entered a man called Mai Gaskiya(the truthful one). His major selling point is that he is not only uncorrupted and incorruption, he abhors and fights corruption.

Since many Nigerians believe that corruption and indiscipline is the foundation of our problem, like a hurricane, this man continues to attract crowd, from the South to the North. Nairaland was no exception. That is the genesis, if you don't know. We did not invent the corruption campaign. It's the man's natural selling point.

And by the way, northerners may see Buhari as one of them(just as GEJ called MEND his people) we see him as a Nigerian. This is not about where the man's comes from. Good man can come from anywhere, north or south. Why didn't Atiku, and even IBB, command this whirlwind?

So, to me, if Buhari wins, that is the end of impunity and indiscipline in Nigeria. It will usher us into an era of discipline and patriotism, where you will think twice before doing wrong. Human beings are naturally inclined to do evil, which is usually the easier route, but if you know you the system will catch you, you will think twice before acting. This is the difference btw Nigeria and US for example. In Nigeria, you know you can steal and get away with it easily, over there, the high chance of you being caught by the system and duly sanctioned is enough deterrent. So after some time, it becomes part of you, doing the right thing becomes an habit.

This is where we believe Buhari can lead us to.

Jonathan ruled from May 6 2010 till date thats less than 7 months?

That's exactly the end we will see. unless DENKO has some skeleton in his cupboard, then he will start exploring countries he may flee to in case of the eventual aftermath!

Anything they may be accusing Buhari of is a manifestation of their 'grave discomfort'' with his soaring reputaion! Even the U.S changes government from Democrats to Republicans depending on the need of the time. Now, Nigeria is in dire need of change, and the TSUNAMI that can bring it is BB!!

Lest i forget, this CPC is less than 1 yr oooooooo! How come Integrity is GOOOOOOD OOOOOO!!

Many don't know left from right, even to save their own lives; they can never comprehend how much determination Nigeria's gold shitting donkey has mustered to throw of its "master." No more slavery.

Instead, you go google the term, "essenco." Its what your brothers brought us some decades ago (most of us are too young to know), queue's for salt, soap, detergent, milk, toothpaste etc; thats a taste of Nigeria without oil. grin

I took my time to read all the comments to the posters topic, undoubtably all contributions are beautiful. But one legacy that lasts long is the law of Karma. Do unto others what u would like others to do to u. Buhari is good in his own way,GEJ is equally good in his own way without being sentimental and nepotism, ethinicity apart what Nigerians need is good leadership and nothing less than that not minding where u come from. The truth about Nigeria is that president can come from anywhere so long as he/sheis Nigerian that is the only thing that can keep Nigeria together.
But coming to Buhari's issue, SIN these days is wait and take.History is always there.Buhari is a toothless bull-dog without his own initiative but inquisitive in nature. He's always let us go but when he gets there he loose his senses.Idiagbon was the man on ground during his time not him. When he contested in 2003 with the late Chuba Okadigbo as running mate,he was more of let us do this or that but on ground he will retreat that how lured Dr.Chuba Okadigbo into the protext that took his life. Tunde Bakare should learn from OKADIGBO. To cap it up Buhari truncated democracy in 1983 paving way for the misrule of IBB and Abacha proving that he is an enemy of democracy so it is natural equity and justice that he can not come to power again through thesame process he dislikes. if he is so desperate to rule again may IBB did not give him chance achieve his aim, then he can peacefully commit suicide and die to re-incarnate,then we will believe him and vote for him.
Re: If Buhari Wins That Is The End Of Nigeria by londoner: 8:42pm On Apr 05, 2011
OP, in all honesty we need an end to Nigeria as we know it.

We shouldn't assume that what we do get under Buhari will be what we want, it may just be what we haven't got right now.

We dont actually know which direction he will take Nigeria, but we have a very good idea of what we will get under JEG and PDP. Unless ofcourse JEG is waiting to be president in his own right to completely overhaul PDP and Nigeria's political landscape for the better (not just economically). This is highly unlikely though, but not impossible.

I laugh at the hijacked Nairaland part grin grin grin

When majority of us were campaigning against the 'cabal' that wanted to scatter our constitution, no one hijacked Nairaland then.

Mr Clueless simply forgot the people that supported him to power and started dancing to the tune of his corrupt PDP Godfathers.

After spending billions of dollars in one year, what legacy has Jonathan has to his name? No better roads, electricity, healthcare services etc

We are simply saying 'No' to corruption and Godfatherism. Power belong to the people not to PDP godfathers.
