QUIT ORDER: Amotekun Arrests 37 Herdsmen, 5000 Cattle For Violating Quit Notice

No fewer than 37 herdsmen and 5,000 cattle have been arrested by the Ondo state security outfit codenamed Amotekun for violating the quit notice of forest reserves by the state government.

They were arrested in government forest reserves located at Ala, Oda and Ofosu.

Recall that governor Rotimi Akeredolu had issued a seven day quit notice to the herdsmen in the government forest reserves across the state.

Akeredolu, therefore, asked the herdsmen to register with the government so that they can operate unhindered in the forest reserves.

Commander of the state Amotekun Corps, Chief Adetunji Adeleye confirmed the arrest of the herders who could not cope with the terms and conditions of the state government.

Adeleye added that other herdsmen have met with the Corps and had peacefully opted to move out of the state.

He said that the enforcement of the government order was still ongoing as his personnel were still in the forest to flush out the remaining erring herders

According to him ” Some of them have opted to leave the state because they couldn’t meet with our terms and conditions.

“They came through the Chairman of Miyatti Allah in the state. Some opted to go to Osun, Edo and Kogi States.

” So our men escorted to the boundaries of those states. We have to monitor their movements out of the state so that they would not destroy farms on their way out.

” About 37 herders have been arrested with about 5, 000 cows. Majority of the herders have been coming to us through their chairman and the Special Adviser to the Governor on Hausa Matters.

“We will hand over the culprits to the chairman to lead them out and anybody caught again after this would be arrested and prosecuted.”

Adeleye asked the farmers to always call on the corps whenever the cows invade and destroy their farms noting that his personnel would respond promptly.

He said that ” It is always difficult for us to trace the herders after they had destroyed the farms but if we are called upon during the act, we will come and make an arrest and ensure that the herders pay for what they destroy, ”

Not edo state, they blocked Benin ore road and the place exactly is gbogi which is in ondo state.

They came out last week in orhionwon local government but VGN and OPC have drove them out from that region.

Fantastic development! I would like to hear the excuse of lame-duck Makinde and the Oyo Amotekun for not doing the same. Oyo signed the anti open-grazing law in 2019 after Makinde became governor, yet no single cow has been arrested or herdsman prosecuted since the law was passed. Why pass laws that you don't intend to enforce? That would send the wrong message to the violators. Enough is enough!! angry

Amotekun Amotekun Amotekun oooooo.

We need to transfer some Ondo Amotekun to Oyo state because it’s now clear Oyo Amotekun are under curse.

No be their mate be this?

Fun fact:
If this had happened in Abia, the governor would have paid 100k each for those 5000 cows and that’s like 500million from Abia IGR.

Here we go again with the d**k measuring grin, only yesterday herdsmen attacked a community in Ondo state, abducted a farmer and even killed an OPC member but that one escaped your attention.

Meanwhile have you liberated Ayete community from the new Jagaban of Oyo state - Mallam Iskali Waliki?

We are still in Ondo and Amotekun is dealing with Fulani herdsmen and Oyo Amotekun will soon wake up to their responsibilities.

However, Abia governor is wasting the little IGR on paying 100k per cows killed and I think it’s time Peter Obi should speak up to this injustice.

It must not keep going like this!

A governor giving compensation for a farmers land destroyed or a herdsman's livestock is no big deal, I'm sure your governors are doing the same, at least the farmers are sending a clear message to any would-be trespassers by killing their cows. ESN operatives have been killing the so called cows and driving away the herdmen and there has been no evidence those estranged herdmen have been compensated by the state GOVERNMENT.

You can't compare that to your villages getting annexed by turban-wearing bandits and your ancestral homes renamed from yoruba names to Fulfude like is happening in Oyo state. A whole OPC member was killed like a rat in Ondo yesterday and we didn't see you show up on that thread! , focus on the limitless disasters plaguing your region and leave the East to deal with the herdsmen menace THE ESN way!

Igboho alone is doing more better Job than the whole ESN or what you call them.

Have you seen Seriki Fulani comment on BBC Yoruba today? He said he always sweat and have heart attack anytime he hear the name Igboho Sunday.

Who then is Wakili when even his Seriki fled. Sunday Igboho is reluctant to go to Oyo because he has a rift with Makinde and he wants him to invite him personally.

Have you also seen what he did to the Herdsmen in Ogun? He burnt their houses and nothing happened after it.

When El-Rufai was paying Fulani herdsmen, we all condemned him on Nairaland and the Igbos were the highest voice then only for the same Igbos to start paying the fulanis 100k per cows. Is that not a betrayal?

Now the IGR of Abia is depleting daily and instead of Ugwuanyi to use money to fix the state bad roads, he was wasting it on compensating fulanis.

ESN kill cows in the day, the governor pay the Fulanis in the night per cows killed. Is that not a scam??

All this noise yet Wakili has raped all the veritable maidens in Ayete community and still daring Sunday to meet him man to man, I don't care about some old Seriki. Let Igboho go and confront his NEMESIS in his own backyard!! Ogbeni forget all these lame excuses of Seyi Makinde not backing Sunday Igboho to evict Wakili from his conquered territories, isn't it a shame that Sunday has to wait on the state government to face a bandit terrorizing his own home state and even daring him to an open confrontation? Sunday Igboho chased away am old and defenceless Seriki but fulani Bororo's are still erecting new settlements in the same Oyo state! (I even made a post on it).

ESN has commenced a thorough cleansing of the herdsmen from our forests and the governors have seen the real force of the movement by declaring a ban on open grazing in the East as at two days ago, that's the fear of ESN who are now a terror for the criminal bandits. Unlike in the whole of Yorubaland where you can't even defend yourselves until Sunday Igboho does it for you. How can Ondo, Ekiti, Ogun, and Osun states now cope if there's no Sunday Igboho? are the rest of the youths in the SW cowards who depend on one man to save them?

Meanwhile in the space of just two days, Fulanis have fuvked your people in the arse all over the SW, you see why it's bad to be a race of crybaby cowards who depend on one man instead of taking your fate in your own hands?

Like I always say, the SE, SW, SS and Middle belt regions all have one common enemy, and we shouldn't be doing all this petty d**k measuring contest cause we're all suffering from the same menace, but it's appears this whole Fulani situation is a chest beating ego thing for you yorubas, like it's some competition or something, when it's obvious it's your region that has had it worse than any region in Nigeria from herdsmen in recent times... pride won't allow you to admit it, your problem is a governor paying Herdsmen for cows killed in Abia state, while three whole villages have been annexed right under your nose in Oyo state with your governor, warlord and Amotekun afraid to confront a single man!

Please limit the lengthy statement, I’m not reading them when it’s not my final year project.

Below is Ikpeazu saying 2days ago that herdsmen are still kidnapping and destroying farms in Igbo land.

Sunday Igboho alone have dealt more blow to the Fulani herdsmen than the whole propaganda are of ESN.

What if Agbekoya, and OPC now key into the agenda?

Of course that's the only "dirt" you can find on the cyberspace relative to herdsmen in the East grin, by posting old reports from last year before ESN came into existence and limelight grin and it dims in comparison to the timeline of more worrying Fulani terror in the SW, abi make we begin open our nyansh? How come a whole government, state, youths, yoruba warlord, Amotekun can confront a mere Fulani herdsman who has annexed three villages with the force of arms till date? shouldn't that one worry you more than Governor Ikpeazu paying herdsmen compensation for having their cows butchered by brave farmers?

your sanity worries me at this point, my last reply to you, keep massaging your ego over Abia state when your region has it worse, apparently without Sunday Igboho there are no more men with guts left to do the needful.

Kudos to them...but, Hold on, the Western Nigeria Security Network recently translated the rules and laws of Amotekun into Yoruba. Someone need to hand the Yoruba version to these personnel.

Amotekun is to protect entire SW and member states from adversaries such as lawless fulani herdsmen and fulani terrorists. So why are they piloting outlaws to the border to enter Osun?

This needs to be taken to DAWN to do training in field.
