otokx:

people should stop lying, not all universities are on break. UNIPORT is in session, conducting 1st semester exams.

Just got accredited in a minute at uniport 1, voting 2 start by 1pm. 3 inec and 5 uniform personnel. Rain just started, lets see what happens
Sorry,That was what I heard.
so Uniport too is in session, that makes it 2.

How then wud the students vote especially If they registered outside PH?

semid4lyfe:

NO

You can't even vote in a different polling station in the same area you registered.

One can only vote in the exact polling booth he/she registered cos it's only there they have your details and you can be accredited.

Thanks

Staying home, though my brothers have been given wristwatches (funny looking things with lights all over) and money to vote for PDP (they are actually anti PDP) and also promised 10k each for next week's vote for PDP, told them to sign me on for the 10k o! cheesy
Re: National Assembly Elections, Saturday 9th April, 2011 by Wumine(f): 12:37pm On Apr 09, 2011
One of my brothers just got back from the polling station now, said VP Sambo just came and left there admist some women chanting their hausa screams and most voters not really responding to his waving/greeting. He came heavily guarded and their was no incidence like yesterday's booing at the mosque

Posting from Papa Adogba, Monatan area Ibadan

Peaceful here. Accreditation completed and voting had started.

Turn out like last week even though some names could not be found.

We barricaded the two entrances to the area  against vehicular movement.
We do this so that we can quickly take our ballot box  when the PDP hoodlums arrive
as we heard they have been terrorizing Monatan and Iwo Road Area.

I wonder where the soldiers are.

Verdict. So far here 80%

A bomb blast has been reported in a polling station in Maiduguri.
The situation is still been monitored for further info.

Bear in mind that Borno State is among one of the flash points that trouble is anticipated

^^We are ok dear.

Yes I have voted, just waiting for my vote to be counted.
Meanwhile I just observed that a lot of folks are putting their camera phone to good use at the polling stations. It will be difficult to do anything funny without being exposed.

Let's keep it going Nigerians. We need to vote out PDP en-mass. If you however have a PDP competent PDP candidate, you can still vote him as long as he's not been part of the current set of legislooters.

uniport 1 poll unit is in front of a girls hostel. APGA gave d hostel leader cash and she sent out 5h to each gal unfortunately some pdp gals complained and payment was suspended.
Have voted and going home due to bad weather. Some people were turned back because they did not come for accreditation.
Total number of voters should not exceed 100

Posting from Enugu Metropolis:
Seem a bit organised in my unit.
Though a guy who says he's an ACN agent met me at the gate but the look on my face no give am liver,so he just tutored me on how I shd place my finger, I sat near a group and another party agent ths time around a PDC guy was writing down names of people who'l get N200 (choi!), while on the queue a woman came close to me and was 'campaigning' for PDP in low tone that they'l give something after the voting of whch the guy infront of me said if they had anything to give they should give it now he's on the queue and that was it.
When voting startd, the police were agile and active and insisted on no discussion amongst us.
Altogether,it was an organised event with commendable turnout

Re: National Assembly Elections, Saturday 9th April, 2011 by Remii(m): 2:42pm On Apr 09, 2011
I just voted, peacefully, no kwams, got my two thumbs marked with ink.

UN observers (Oyinbo man and woman) visited, they walk round, did not talk to anyone, no questions asked, obervere the process for 2minutes and left. I THINK NIGERIANS SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO GO AND MONITOR THEIR OWN ELECTIONS TOO.
