The Delta State Police Command has rescued one Mr James Emmanuel, who was kidnapped on Saturday at the Usiefurun community by the Railway Bridge in the Ughelli South Local Government Area of the state.

The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, DSP Bright Edafe, stated this on Monday in Asaba.

He said, “On April 10, 2021, the Commander, Eagle Net Special Squad, received a distress call of an attempted robbery/kidnap at Usiefurun community in the Ughelli South LGA and quickly mobilised operatives to the area; on their arrival, the hoodlums on sighting the police opened fire on them.

“The police retaliated in full force, overpowered the hoodlums and forced them to abandon the victim and escaped into a nearby bush with gunshot injuries.

“The victim, Mr James Emmanuel, was eventually rescued and his snatched white Toyota Venza car with number plate GBJ 456 FD was recovered.”

He said efforts were been intensified for the arrest of the fleeing hoodlums.

In another development, a 50-year-old narcotics dealer, Lucky Okpoko, has been arrested with 545 wraps of weed suspected to be Indian hemp, 102 wraps of skunk and seven wraps of readymade weeds suspected to be Indian hemp.

According to PPRO, suspect has given useful information to the police and investigation has commenced into further possible links/recoveries with a view to arresting others that may also be involved in the illicit drug business.

Edafe appealed to members of the public to continue to support the police by giving credible information that would help in bringing criminals to justice, assuring members of the public that their identities would be protected and the information given treated with utmost confidentiality.

Fct to me for good and my updated understanding angry

This is how criminals will easily be apprehended if the states continue to contribute to security. Citizens will be the first security watch dogs giving thiefs a run for their money.

Igbo na igbo. If the guy settle smart he will go back to his business or change to a better one.

Everything business is taxable. If it is legal you settle legally but if is illegal you settle illegally.

When the Police come out to boast about rescuing kidnapped victims, most times they didn't actually rescue the victim, the family had already paid the ransom and the kidnappers let the victim go.

As for the seized hard drugs, asking for a friend, where do police normal keep all these seized weed and skunk or what they do with them Once again, I'm asking for a friend grin grin grin

The stories for the godz are always the same:

On sighting the eke, the opened fire.
The Eke fire power made they abandoned XYZ and escape into the bush.

My questions are:

1.

When you are armed and overpowered your enemy, in the process of the escaping what stop you from eliminating them or do they run faster than bullet?

2. How come these criminals always escape after gun battles.

I kept wondering

Nice one.

However, they always escape with bullet wounds. It shall never be well with kidnappers.
