Air traffic in North America is probably the most dense anywhere on the globe. At any given time around the clock, there may be up to 10 thousand aircraft in flight, cris-crossing the United States at between 1 and 7 miles above ground, ranging from light private aircraft and helicopters to lumbering passenger jets and military transporters. A snapshot of say Nigerian airspace at that same moment would tally just a few dozen flights aloft, dropping to virtually none at night when power cuts darken most airports in the country.

Statistically, therefore, more frequent air crashes and near misses are bound to be recorded in American airspace than in Nigerian airspace, not because air travel is riskier in the United States, but because America's friendly skies literally teem with civil and commercial aircraft, while Nigerian skies are relatively uncrowded. When the reliability of ground-based air navigation VOR transmitters and airport-based ILS instrument landing equipment is factored into the equation, however, the safety of air travelers in far LESS assured in Nigeria, in comparison to the situation throughout most industrialized Western nations.

Because most of their technology is stolen technology. The guys to design planes for the US military usually steal deigns from russia ,turkey and germany.Companies like Lockheed martin send in spooks to work in all these companies abroad and they gather valuable intel.Unfortunately in their race to beat the people they stole the designs from ,they launch the aircrafts even though it is have a lot of problems. In regards to the pakistani issue. The helicopter was shot down by one of the Guards in the building where they said they killed OSAMA.

From the information i have the guard shot at the pilot and the pilot in his effort to avoid the bullet lost control of the plane.Consequently the back rotor of the helicopter hit the fence of the compound and caused the helicopter to nose dive.In the issue of Libya ,a Libyan artillery unit shot down the plane the US pilot was flying. You know the US military ,they will never admit that the enemy shot them down so early in the war. This is a propaganda war as much as it is a field war.It is the same way they tried to hide the fact that they were getting a beating in Iraq and Afghanistan but we all know how that fared so far. They failed to take into account no nation has ever defeated the afghan people in the last 400 years.

What the fuuk has the poster's question got to do with Nigeria??

A snapshot of say Nigerian airspace at that same moment would tally just a few dozen flights aloft, dropping to virtually none at night when power cuts darken most airports in the country.

That's a bloody lie. ALL Nigerian airports are equipped with massive, working standby generators in case of power outage. Do not come here misrepresenting the situation in the country out of some sort of vendetta.

How certain are you, Rossikk, that the "generators in ALL of Nigeria's airports" actually exist, and are in working order ?

I think you will find that quite a few of those power plants are no more reliable than teams of hamsters running in treadmills that are wired up to generate electrical current. Those hamsters are bound to get tired and hungry now and then, and I would hate to be in an aircraft on final approach when that happens.

Now I can fully understand why Sagamite gets all worked up with some people's comments.

Whats with that stranger guy or whatever he calls himself? You have beef with Jakumo or what? angry Please spare us your bitterness and disappear.

Jakumo's comment was on point. Only a person blinded by spite will disagree.

^^ Because everything was stage managed.

There was no such thing like bin laden staying in a mansion few meters away from military camp. Bloody lairs.

Look like a script from bad nolly wood movie.

Because technology is not fool proof. And the US military machine is currently the most engaged worldwide. It stands to reason that you will hear more about US military aircraft when they are actively engaged in over 90% of operations worldwide.
