Telz@Hmm,transfer to universities is not beans in nigeria,most universities try to discourage it,only on genuie medical ground yu might be allowed.2ndly the university yu applied to might nt accept yur request if yu don't hv a strong insider in the school senate,even though yur request is granted yu might be asked to start again afresh in their sch i.e 100l or yu might be given another course lower than the course yu where studying in yur previous school.

I scored 230 in my jamb nd my olevel result (in my core sbjt) is eng B3, phy B3, chem B3, biology B3 nd math C5 but had C4 in math d prev. yr (in G.C.E). You guyz should try as much as possible to keep finger crossed. The truth is that, many people have done this post-ume or interactive session magic over and over again, and i can assure you it's not a "biggy". And again, the truth is that, if you are being invited based on what you submitted at the result submission, then you are 80percent guaranteed to be eventually admitted at the end. What i mean is that, when you are being invited for the interactive session, the ball is in your court as you can either make or mar your chance of being admitted. For more info. 07037227882

For many of you who do not know. UI calculates the cut-off marks like this: C6:2pt, C5:4pt, C4:6pt, B3: 8pt, B2: 10pt, A1: 12pt. Then, whatever you score in your jamb will be divided by 10. For example, a candidate who had A1 in 5 relevant subject and and scored 250 in UTME will be calculated like:
A1-12 in 5 places given us 60pt. Then 10 divided by 250 given us 25.0.
Now 60 +25.0 will now give us 85pts. Now thats your waited point

Cont'd concerning locality and elds as concerns u.i admission,after those that qualified on merit has been pick, the next cutoff marks that would be set are locality&elds.so to pick locality for a particular state in a department- any student that didn't meet the merit cutoff but scores the highest mark frm his or her state automatically get admitted to that department e.g let say I choose medcine & the merit cutoff is 74 and locality cutoff is 60 also my personal point is 70 & am frm lagos if am the highest frm lagos I will automatically get admitted even without meeting the merit cutoff but if another person frm lagos scores 70.5 that person gets admitted.the same process goes for elds(PLS N.B CATCHMENT AND ELDS STATES IN A PARTICULAR DEPARTMENT-THOSE CANDIDATES THAT SCORED THE HIGHEST MARKS FRM THOSE STATES AUTOMATICALLY GET ADMITTED)

Point of correction, ELDS doesn't mean states that don't have PENCHANT for education. It would b better put as states that r not dat PRIVILEGED to av easy access to university education. If u'r opportuned to see all qualified admission seekers from my state<of course, it's one of d ELDS>, u'll understand better.

U.i admission process is free and fair, you need not to know anybody before getting admission.

i think u have a very high chance going by cumputer science cutoff in the last two years, just keep ur finger crossed ansd keep an eye on this thread for updates on the admisssion procduces

@ay50dblues i'm applying for elect/elect this year,i had 257 in jamb. My waec is maths b3,physics b3,fmaths b3,english c6 and biology c4,chemistry d7. And my gce is maths b3,physics c6,fmaths c6,english c5,biology c6,chemistry c5. I had 51.7% after the calculation but the locality cut off mark last year is 66 and i'm an indigene of Oyo.
