The Messi show vs Ecuador. A goal and an assist by Messi vs Ecuador.

His tally for this season: Barca + Argentina - goals: 73 + 6, assists: - 29 + 3.

Barca B are beating Xerez 4-0. Deulofeu is in ultra-ghost mode. Two goals and the assist for JDS' goal.

Deulofeu is unbelievable. He has hit a phase in his development where he is getting better geometrically rather than linearlly.

EDIT: 6-0 in the end. Rafinha and Espinosa putting icing on the cake.

Spectacular performance from the boys. Utterly dominant performance, could've easily reached double figures Their best performance by far this season.

Deulofeu, JDS, Roberto were fantastic. Espinosa too. Wondering why Eusebio hasn't been playing him.

We've been drawn in group 1 alongside Spurs, Anderlecht and Wolfsburg for next season's NextGen series.

We were knocked out in the q/finals by runners up Ajax last season. Dongou finished as the tournament's joint highest goal scorer.

Alba is more or less a done deal. €12m is the rumoured fee.

I like the boy. He is only a bit weak in defence but our pattern will not suffer . Good luck to him in Euros !

For €12m, I won't complain although he's not the final solution for our leftback problem.

If only we can get Matt Hummels. He comes on the cheap, plus he's willing to come play for us.

Means we don't get to pay much to get him. undecided

With 26 goals, Messi has become the 4th all-time top goalscorer in the history of the Argentinean national team at the age of 24.
what a hat trick?

I thought Alba was solid yesterday vs Italy. Yeah, he let in a few crosses but overall he did pretty well. We didn't see the best of him going forward as Spain needed spare men at the back against Italy's two strikers.
Re: Fc Barcelona Fan Thread: "més Que Un Club" by AjanleKoko: 10:22am On Jun 11, 2012
^^
He did a lot better than Arbeloa, who was ran ragged by Cassano. At a point I was wondering if he had been red-carded.

Nice goal from Cesc and an overall good showing from Xavi, Iniesta (seems to be Spain's most inform player), Busi and Pique. My 2 cents on Spain to retain the trophy. smiley

It's a good thing you have only 2 cents on the bet.
I hope they go out in the quarters (for selfish reasons grin)

In the news; Cristiano Ronaldo took a swipe
at Lionel Messi after being
taunted by Denmark fans
during Portugal's 3-2 victory
over Morten Olsen's side in
Lviv on Wednesday. "You know where he was at this time [last year]? Do
you know? He was being eliminated in the Copa
America, in his own country," Ronaldo said at the
post-game press conference. "I think that's worse,
no?"

Cry baby Penaldo won't just grow up! Silliest comment ever about a rival. Why is CR7 ripping Messi? Messi said nothing, it was
the denmark fans. He should be saying things like
atleast we dont have Nicklas Bentner to rely on, even
though Nicklas got 2 goals he's no top rated star like
CR7 or Nani or Hilder Postiga

yeah yeah yeah,

the guy is always picked on.
imagine urself being picked on for everything and anything you do(good, bad, quiet, ugly, pretty or whatever).

at some point you will snap back and sadly attimes say things which normally wont be said.

in past interviews where he extols messi, no body here posted his comments but as happily as a cockrel in the morning his "misyarns" will be song by y'all.

everyone has a yielding point(Hooke's Law), so be more reasonable and pity him. will ya? I know I know the answer is no(expectedly), so go on with your Penaldo lullabies

In the news; Mourinho: Spain are not just Barcelona.

The outspoken trainer insisted there's a
difference between the European champions and
the Catalans, and highlighted that his club have
almost as many players in the national side.
"You speak about Spain and Barcelona but the
national team of Spain have five Real Madrid players
too," Mourinho stated to reporters.
"I don't know why you would mix that up because
those are completely separate things.
"Barcelona was the champion of Spain. And I repeat
was the champion of Spain, and nothing more." grin grin grin

The only Madrid players I saw on the field yesterday
was Arbeloa, Ramos, Xabi and Casillas. Arbeloa is
poo, and anybody could take his place. Casillas is a
keeper and has no influence in the style of play,
ei. "tikitaka". So who's left? Xabi and Ramos. Please
stfu Mourinho. The ones that are controlling the
game are "Iniesta, Xavi, Busquets, Fabregas, Pique,.
So yes, Spain is a mini Barcelona.

he didnt have to take it out on messi. all he had to say was maybe 'denmark dont have a player like me' or 'messi is a great player, it's no harm to be compared to him' but his comment shows that he is definitely jealous of messi. definitely.

@Usbcable, people are comparing Spain with Barcelona not because of the composition of the team but HOW they play. To our common knowledge, Mou is always criticising Possession Football. Spain so far in this Euro plays completely like Barcelona. Even using a false 9 in first match! Spanish National coach is former RM coach, yet he did not copy Mou's style of football, but Pep's Barca style. And for composition, of course we all know that if Puyol and David Villa were not injured, they'll always be in First 11. Mou should talk less and act more.

In the news, Messi confirms pregnancy
rumours: I think it will be a
boy. Now something comes to mind; In another twenty years, this foetus will be paired
up with Benjamin Aguero(Son of
Sergio Aguero) in the
Argentinian national team. How
awesome would that be? .......and Wenger submits his bid.grin grin

The Alba deal is done. It would be announced after the Euros.

What's to say that Messi himself would not be playing for Argentina in 20 years? grin

medjai: The Alba deal is done. It would be announced after the Euros.

There is also talk that Udinese's left-back, Pablo Armero (Colombian) is tracked by Barca, in case Alba doesn't come. However, I think Catalan sentiment will trump any other consideration. Alba will most likely play for Barca next season.

i really do not love such sighnings at this time. I mean lets face some facts here. We ve got very great adversaries in real madrid. Our players are a million times more skillful than the madrid guys. What they have over us gottta be only size, strength and physique. Thats how they can beat us. Bullying us off the ball, kicking us, set pieces and goal mouth scrambles. Thats how they score 95 percent of their goals. Our players are so so so skillful and dedeicated but they re a group of little lads. If we re gonna put madrid back in their place we need up to 5 big guys in the squad. Whats wrong with guys like kompany, skirtel, suarez, llorente, falcao, gutierez etc. We dont need no alba kind of guy. We are up against madrid and chelsea not valencia nor bilbbao.

Bros,
I am beginning to doubt your cule-ness.
The same little men won Guardiola 14 trophies in 4 years. Which other coach, with their array of big men, won half as many trophies within the same period?

The same little men beat Madrid twice at the Bernabeu (with all their big men) last season, and still managed to score twice past Chelsea, despite their bus parking. Little men can also do the job. That we lost a couple of games is not an indication that the squad is too small. What we need in the squad is depth, which we have struggled with. The clubs's attitude this year I like: Nobody, not even Keita or Affelay, will be sold. Unless any player insist that they want to leave and the price is right. Alba is a good signing, home-grown, but experienced with another team. And of course we will have Batra, Muniesa, and Montoya from the B team joining. I'm sure they will all get games, and they will do well.
Re: Fc Barcelona Fan Thread: "més Que Un Club" by ddippset(m): 5:24pm On Jun 24, 2012
bro cule 2 da bone. Without mincing words, our problem would be madrid and chelsea. Madrid could only score us via set pieces and goal mouth scrambles basically. we had refs who were courageous enough to made correct decisions when the pepes the alonsos the diarras the marcelos the ramoses of this world tried to break our limbs. How many guys are gonna clear set pieces againnst the ronaldos, the benzes, the higuains and all them giants? Against 100 teams in europe we gonna trash them, but chelsea and madrid, we need some big men. I know what iam saying. I dont mean some big morons, i mean some big skillful lads.
