Evil Brain:

I'd love to be your gynaecologist.

Just kidding. You might want to reconsider that. Ob/Gyn is a horrible, disgusting specialty, not for the weak of stomach. Plus no matter what they say, most women prefer male gynaecologists. It has to do with female rivalry or something, I don't know.

The only thing I like about Ob/Gyn is that you get to play with a lot of babies and small children. And who doesn't like babies?

smiley That's what I'm trying to eradicate; the weird ratio of male Gynes to female Gynes. There are too many male Gynes out there, which is quite absurd.

Most women prefer male gynes? Statistics abeg! grin The reason why they "prefer" male Gynes is because they have no choice--lol---

I'm not reconsidering. Thanks for the discouraging speech. grin I'm "working" for a Gynecologist presently as an "internship", it's not bad atall. I love it!

Btw, who told you I was weak.? angry

doctors are poor!!!!!!
Doctors and indeed teaching are professions you go into primarily because of your passion to either save lives or impact life-values, the meagre renumeration they get is often offset by the satisfaction  they derive from doing the job. That said, the medical profession cannot be that financially unrewarding even in a place like nigeria, one just needs to be more creative

With the new CONMESS, doctors in Nigeria aren't poor. Not anymore.
A fresher comfortably earns almost 200k salary, exclusive of their call duty allowances. Consultants now earn up to 1.5m a month. That aint bad at all.

Being a Nigerian and for also living in Nigeria, I think there is virtually any sector that is worth while but that is notwithstanding, Medical practitioners are still fairing better. They are far better than other professionals. Honestly speaking, I have never seen a medical doctor displaying CVs around in search of job. Having known this fact, I think, it is the best profession so far in Nigeria.

if i was as exposed 8 years ago as i am now, i would have chosen to study business law, specializing in real estate law,or i might have studied economics , then moved on to specialize in investment banking and financing with a special focus on Public Private Partnership Projects financing and management(  i see this as the future  driver of infrastructural development in  Nigeria),  but  i studied civil engineering, came out with a 2;2, got autocad, revit and csc orion design skills, and realized too late that the market is already taken by architects, bricklayers and contractors. i also realized that construction companies actually want you to come with 5 years experience to be paid 120k as site engineer, but thank God i am a fresh grad, and can still plan and project manage my career.
