Pls I need help. My wedding is coming up next weekend and I have tiny pimples all over my face. What can I do to have a smooth and beautiful face for my wedding day and beyond?

I beg you, don't use any chemical that will worsen it. I suggest you just use your regular cosmetics that have been working for you all these years. On the d-day, you can use some cover-up make up. If you cannot bear it, go to a dermatologist asap. This is not the time to try new stuff.

larrytoks, like the poster above me said, don't try anything new at this time. You don't want to walk down the aisle with raw, peeling skin, trust me!
Just get light makeup done, not a heavy pan cakey one. You're the bride, you'l luk mahvelous! Al da best!

Don't touch it,don't use a new product (soap,cleanser,cream etc) either.Just watch what you eat and try and reduce the stress level(sleep more).
If it does not clear before the d-day ur make-up artist shld be able to have and use good concealers or something.

Neutrogena transparent facial bars control Pimples, It is a kind of facial soap that you can use only on your face when you want to shower. If you were using it weeks before now I am sure your face will not have that now. I am not sure whether that can remove the ones on your face already within one week but you can get on Neutrogena products, they can give your face a good effect within a week. Just make sure you have the product that matches your skin type and that can give you what you want. You can google and check whether thay have a particular distributor in Nigeria that must have been schooled on the products (just like Clarins has) so that the person can prescribe for you.

Get concealers to use underneath your make up on your day if the Pimples remain there till that day. It will be nice to have a pimple free face on that day in order to have great looking pics for keeps but if you are unable to get that, don't sweat the small stuffs. It's only pimples for goodness sake and not the end of Life. Smile! I forgot to add that you be careful when choosing the Neutrogena facial soaps one of them tones like crazy (just like the cleansers too), so if you don't want to tone you must avoid that particular one. It is lighter in colour and more transparent than the one that has no toning effect. I saw this link online to show you how the package looks like.

Neutrogena products are great effective products, their creams are one cream I know that you can rub today and see the beautiful effect on you the next day. If you were using them you would have been looking sweet and chewing gum by now.  The Neutrogena body Emulsion is a sweet lotion, it is written body lotion yet when used on the face you will wake up with a very sophisticated look the next day. Note that it is meant for dry skin though as it is a bit oily and if you are in Naija, buy from a trusted person as fakes abound in the market. The other ordinary body lotion in a long tube is equally good, that should be for normal skin (check very well). I miss them (I and my sister can't do without our Neutrogena). I see all kind of neurogena products here yet can't get hold of those ones from the shops, bought one neutrogena facial cream here that did not give me an iota of the Neutrogena look. I'd rather have those body creams that are very available in Naija.

Just learnt online now that the Neutrogena Emulsion now goes by a new name "Intensive Moisture Wrap Body Treatment". Little wonder I don't see it anymore, I will ask around too. It's a lovely cream.

Hunkyjohn, make up will just make it worse.


@Poster, a few years back I suffer from acne also. I used Skin Doctors Belmish Free. My skin clear up pretty quickly. Give it a try and see.

^ Roki baby, at least make up wont increase the size of the pimples or turn them into red fugly boils. Don't let her try new stuff now o! It worked for you but it may not work for her. A good make-up artist knows how to cover it up. Besides, it's just pimples and not some disease. Diet and hormones may also contribute to it as someone said. The only proper solution is to see a PROFESSIONAL and EXPERIENCED DERMATOLOGIST not a quack.

Everywoman want to look good on her wedding day. No matter how good the make up artist is, with so much pimples the make up wouldn't go on smoothly.


Yaa what works for me may not work for her. Like I said, let her give it a try,  if symptoms persist, she can stop. But anyway she can see a dermatologist.

Neutrogena might not work 4 her(i didn't say wont work).There was a period some miraculous pimples appeared on my face that it got my coleague in the office wondering.She suggested i use Neutrogena facial bar which i did,but it really didn't work 4 me.

Let her just fash d damn thing it will go on it's own,perhaps she is stressed up or sth.It's too short a time for her to start testing n experimenting with some new products on her face.

@OP: it seems ur tensed up thats y those guys r comin out, however, pls dont use any new soaps that ur body aint used to, drink lots of fluids esp. water and take more of veggie greens.

this is coming late but better late than never. At least it will solve urn pimples problem if u still have dem. Never go to bed with makeup on urn face, take lots of water and stop feasting on oily stuffs eg groundnuts.

Don't take any form of sugar or anything with sugar in it eg biscuits s,oft drinks, fizzy drinks, juice etc just take loads of water when thirsty.
Use medicated menthelated dusting powder every morning and night after you have washed your face it will keep it nice and smooth. Stay make up free till your big day and keep your face clean always. Best of luck

Sometimes stress do cause pimples. I will advice you not to try anything new on your skin. it might be worse

And dearie, if on the D-day u still have it, please don't freak out, enjoy your day. Don't let any pimple spoil your mood
