More than 1 million people attended the Inauguration in Kano.

More than 100 people have collapsed including a MOPOL Officer, due to the large turnout of people to the Inauguration at Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano. 3 people are believe to have died.

The Governor Dr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso has been sworn in already.

In his Inauguration Speech, the governor announces that the former government of Ibrahim Shekarau left a debt of over 72 billion naira with more than $250 million foreign loan, and that more than 1 trillion naira has been spent in the last 8 years without anything to show.

He further stresses his commitment to transform Kano into a modern city in the next 4 years to come.

Well, in Ogun state where I just came back having gone to witness the swearing-in (not handing-over since OGD chickened out), the crowd was crazy. I was told it is the highest turnout for any event in the state. On my way back to Lagos, the state radio made some announcements. The state tv station, Gateway TV, is back to its former name, OGTv. Gateway radio is back to OGBC2. Ijebu Ode stadium is now to be known as Dipo Dina stadium. Also, there is free healthcare for all pregnant women and children age 0-5 and adults above 70. Unconfirmed reports also have it that primary education is now free.

Imo State: d 1.5m is not exaggerated. This must b d most celebrated inauguration. The most inspiring inauguration speech by a Nigerian in recent times. he reeled out his speech without a script (usually prepared by aides of politicians). spoke with so much passion and eloquence, a speech u would have expected from a president, easily likened to that of Obama. May GOD help Rochas OKorocha and may GOD Bless Imo State. We sincerely thank GOD fo delivering our State.

So dont say what u dont knw. . . . . backside hole.

It will be enough to say that a massive crowd turned up for the ceremony. But I'm sure the number is nowhere near 1.5M. For some perspective, Camp Nou (Barcelona's Stadium) seats 98,000 people when filled to capacity. Obviously, Dan Anyiam stadium is a fraction of the size of Camp Nou.

Even allowing for over-flow crowds outside the stadium, the number will still be a fraction of 1.5M. If one can provide an aerial picture of the crowd, a more precise estimation can be done.

Beware of the enticing words of a man's wisdom. Just pray for dude, all these politicians are the same 10 and 10 pence grin grin.  wait a couple of years when His true character as politician (not philanthrophist)can be assessed before you start singing his praises to the high heavens.
