Two persons suspected to be ritualists have been nabbed by locals in Amaeze autonomous community, Ugwueke in Bende local government area of Abia State during a 'juju' section near a river called Eze Stream, ABN TV reports.

They were accused of being behind the deaths of many locals in the community, ABN TV gathered.

Items recovered from them include red candles, white feathers, live chickens, and others.

One of the suspects, a member of the community whose identity could not be ascertained as at the moment of this report is said to have a shrine in his home, which was later demolished by the angry locals.

His counterpart is said to be from outside the community.

Upon interrogation, they claimed they are only exercising their religious rites, insisting that they have not committed any crime.

What is their offence just asking? Catholics carry all manner of statues up and down with long procession and incense burning and lots of paraphernalia in their altars. Same as white Garment churches

If they're falsely accused, the perpetrators should be sued.

Please, how did they become ritualists because I didn't see the crime they committed here?

As a matter of fact, they have every right to practice what they believe in

Did they see any HUMAN Part?
IF No, why demean them?
What's the meaning of all these?
IF they had rewind this earth by 200 years backwards, would they have done same to these guys? These could be their channel through which they reverence God.
How is this different from what CAIN and ABEL did in the Bible?

If the items found with them had no human parts, they could be performing their religious acts.

See how Igbos are pursuing drug dealers and ritualists and (THANKS to ESN) Fulani herdsmen terrorists while Ibadan urchins are welcoming them, asking to elevate a convicted drug dealer as president while promoting ritualists as their House of Assembly speakers. Tout like MC Oluomo has been rewarded for agboro while yahoo boys like Hushpuppi and 9ice are given titles and accolades.

Wow! Well if they aren't caught with human parts, I think they haven't broken the law.

Except if that community is now practising Mosaic law as can be seen in Sharia Kano, and that being the case, it should have been announced well ahead of time that it's no longer holding allegiance to Nigeria's religious law section, if not, Nigeria is still a secular state. There is acceptance for other religions in the Constitution.

While it's not a crime to be an Ifa priest, it becomes heinous to use your practices to harm and hypnotize others.

The way our young people are chasing after quick money is alarming, and the process they get involved in diabolical practices

Funny country!
& one thread fews days ago stated that possession of charms & juju is illegal & attracts jail sentence.
The question is what is the definition of juju /charm? Because even the ring or necklace you wear can be regarded as charm. These things simply cannot be established or proven in a court of law.

I believe Nigeria is still a religious free nation where your free to practice your beliefs as far as it's in tandem with the law, if I was these men I'd sew the ritualist catching community for billions
