Is it just me or does anyother person experience intense hunger after eating garden egg.

No, but you should consider eating it after meals, and not before meals.

Because fruits and other vegetables e.g garden egg are rich in nutrient, and they aid in the digestion of food. That's why your doctor would recomend that you take them after each meal and not before a meal.
