I have an interest in children's health and hunger prevention, so I'll volunteer to research infant mortality.  What's the outline? And due date for report submission?

Outline is to find out the child mortality rate from as far back as 1960 or as far back as records go if they does not go as far back as 1960.

To make a credible comparision it would best , if possible ensure that the data is obtained from the a reliable source such as WHO or other similar agency.

Also try ensure that wherever possible you use data from the same source throughout.

Due date for submission? I would leave that up to you to tell me when you think you would be able to have it ready so I would know when to expect it

Infant mortality is a very good indicator of government performance, as regardless of any lies that a government may tell infant mortality would always expose the worst governments and vindicate the better governments.

I look forward to your report.

Nigeria's exchange rate history

Nigeria's inflation history

Nigeria Foreign Debt history

I wanted to ask you about your support of Abacha.  You've probably had to defend that ad infinitum, but I don't get it either.  This is the guy who put Abiola in jail simply for stating his right to an election result which he won fairly.  I understand your respect for Buhari, but why Abacha?

18 months ago, I was ignorant of history and had thought that Abacha was corrupt and evil.

However since doing this thread I learnt that he was not corrupt and his name was deliberately blackened by the biggest looter in history - Obasanjo.

Abacha was running a military government and Abiola decided to declared himself president and set about setting up his own government, what would you expect Abacha to do? If Abacha had not put a stop to this it could easily have lead to another civil war.

Take time and review the Abacha era of this thread.

I am convince that Abiola would have been a disaster for Nigeria, he was alleged to have sponsored the coup that brought Buhari to power and when Buhari did not please him sponsored the criminal Babangida a.k.a. IBB, to overthrow Buhari.

It was also believed that he had sponsored Abacha's take over from Shonekan, the man seemed to want to rule Nigeria by any means.

In any case the election he won could not be considered free and fair as IBB had organised it and hand picked the 2 candidates.

Ok Can anybody suggest good websites where I can find the information, for performace indicator research?

I am particulary interested in in Nigeria's foreign debt, domestic debt and other economic indicators.

Can somebody explain to me what domestic debt actually means? Is it debt owed to Nigeria's banks ?
