That is just one man's opinion. I think there will be war in that country soon. Our Government has failed us and we need to revolt. Stop sleeping, the Ijaws are asking for the oil companies to stop exploiting them.

To all intents and purposes the Niger Delta War is now officially in progress. Yesterday federal helicopter gunships strafed and rocketed oil smuggler barges and their armed escorts in the creeks. The balance has tipped and the dogs of war are loose in the delta. Families of the kidnapped oil workers have very grave cause for concern now that all pretence of dialog has gone out the window.

Yes, and a US gov. representative has stated that US defence personal have been sent to Nigeria to "work" with the Naija government on the situation in the Delta. When the US government talks like that, that usually means that the US has decided to implement an military option to solving a conflicting situation. This spells major trouble for those Delta kids pretending to be some kind of tough Rambos.

They've gone too far this time. Play time is now over, and I'll expect to soon see a bunch of them being dragged out of the Swamps in body bags on a daily basis. They should had stuck to peaceful negotiations.

A nice note from the army perhaps?

@Topic and my Attackers,

I am not sure why i should be ashamed of my statements people. Guess what the statements are mine, and i stand by them. Nigeria is a failed nation, i think the government has failed it people, and i am glad i am in Yankee and not in Nigeria. I am not apologizing or modifying my statements. I was in Nigeria recently and travelled through Ogoni Land. The tension is real, and i think the tipping point is around the corner.

If you do not believe me, please check how much oil prices(Light sweet crude) sells for in NY on Monday. I am grateful i am out of that dump. Especially having lived through IBB and Abacha, June 12 and all that turmoil.

Nigeria is on the edge of a war people,if the Oil companies and government keep on exploiting those that own the land, they will revolt and we have the examples right in front of us here.www.nigeriaworld.com

Kokscity Loves Yankee more than Nigeria. I thought that should be clear by Now!

I have been in Yankee for a very long time too my brother. I am not sure where you got 2 months from? But again i believe the statement i made was accurate and i think that Nigeria is a no go area right now. I believe there is much more to this than we know. And i am GLAD to be in Yankee.Don't get me wrong, i think we need somekind of revolution to change that country and i will be willing to fight in that struggle. But i tell you that as it is right now,i don't know what to tell you.

Yankee is Barnone the best place in the world, to be during a conflict.

I'm still going through some intelligence reports. I'll reply when I'm done.

But, for sure, there's trouble in the Delta. And that means the lazy drones who depend on oil money for survival had better start looking elsewhere.
Re: Nine Oil Workers Kidnapped In Niger Delta by adexway(m): 3:20pm On Feb 19, 2006
Whenever I'm opportuned to comment on all these Nigeria palava and problems, I do say it clear that dialogue don't work. Either you agree or not, it doesn't help matters. The only thing that works is if the government be reasonable and listen to the aggitation of these people.
Have we short memories to forget the evils done by these oil workers. the simple point is this, they get rich at the expence of the oil dwellers. It is not just fair. Let's hope the incessant kidnap will make the government realise what these guys want.

@Topic

Oil is our problem, as well as our wealth. You can't remove oil from someone's ground and leave the community in poverty. I strongly believe people have had enough. And i think the are more organized than people are giving them credit for. OBJ is absolutely the "worst bastard" i have seen in an Agbada!
I think our military is under equipped and will have a hard time bringing law and order in the Niger Delta area. BRACE YOURSELF PEOPLE,IT IS GOING TO BE A BUMPY RIDE.

Kokscity you must be a fresh meat in Yankee, I've been in the state for more than 20 years and will never uttered those words about My fatherland. my grandmother told me before i left for Yankee 20 someting years ago, never forget the son of who you are no matter what and I stand by those principles. in time of conflict yes Yankee is the best place to be in the world, but what about the daily crisis we encounter, like racism, and unemployment, what about segregation and I'm still appalled you refused to apologized for those statement of yours.  to me you are a prodigal child, and I'm sure your parents are proud of you in Yankee.  one last statement, no place like home. every time i come to Nigeria I always go back to Lagos and Ondo to eat the best meal in the world,

Bro i like your sermon, but reality is different. I am telling you i was there in OCT O5 to DEC-05 and right now you cannot drive thru OgoniLand/Ijaw country at night. From PH to UYO or Calabar thru Eleme RD is unsafe until you get into Akwa-Ibom State. Benin to Warri there are like 30 Police check Points,some of them blocks away from each other. The whole Niger Delta is on edge, i was in the frontlines and have first hand accounts. These Tribes/communities are not messing around. That is where most of Nigeria's oil and wealth comes from.

Re: Nine Oil Workers Kidnapped In Niger Delta by Odeku(m): 7:50pm On Feb 19, 2006
Kokscity you are entitle to your opinion, Ill be curious to know your age, just from your word, you need to speak to people with wisdom.  so now you blame Obansanjo for all the problem in Nigeria now, where where you when Umaru Dikko left Nigeria with $1 Billion, what about the abacha lot that was just refunded back to Nigeria, the problem of Nigeria has been going on since the 60s. it's just that now we are seeing and suffering the effects of bad head of states and dictators.
Re: Nine Oil Workers Kidnapped In Niger Delta by Odeku(m): 7:56pm On Feb 19, 2006
I agree, but the innocent people will suffer the most once they dispatch Military men in full force to Delta area, those Army boys that were kill will cause lots of confusion in that state.  violence is certainly not the answer to any issue, it will only portray you as the bad guy in the public eye, enemy of the state.

@ kokscity. I so feel you on your issues of Nigerian rulers past and present, I'm all for US intervention in Nigeria maybe the can also help us get rid of all the pest and vermin in the north (Hausa). And yes we should be furtunate and blessed to be in the States, but please bro don't brag about it , it just makes the less unfortunate mad. Dude no disrespect untented. wink
