And a little something just for laughs! This one is another test I carried out to try a different full body turn technique on basic characters I specifically set up for the exercise.

Great to know you guys are still holding it down for 2d-animation, keep the fire burning guys. Btw, I just ordered a Wacom Cintiq 21ux, and I expect it'll arrive from the U.S in less than a week. I believe that BEAST will be a game-changer for me coz,  it's the FUTURE of Tra-digital animation (especially for 'Traditional/Classical' animators like myself)-- and boy is it e-x-p-e-n-s-i-v-e! Can't wait for it to arrive soon enoff for my next commercial project.
You can check out the Cintiq in action on youtube and the following links:

Hi lafem. Nice 2 hav u bak. I always had massive respect for your work because people don't realize the phenomenal energy it takes for you to bring animation using classic methods with pencil and paper to screen. It will definitely be a big game changer for you once you egress the transition from traditional to tradigital. I'm thinking of getting a cintiq too. Like how much did u get urs 4 in naira?.

@xothermik: Happy to be back my brother.  smiley Yes o, like I said earlier, the Cintiq is definitely the FUTURE for Classical animators like myself and digital illustrators alike; that badboy literally does WONDERS! You can never go wrong with WACOM products, quality-wise -- that's for sure. Now as per the cost, I believe it's $2000usd (or roughly =N=320k naira). So there you have it, start saving up! grin

It's sad a lot of you 2d guys are based in Abuja coz mehn, you sure would've been very handy for a project I'm about to commence. If only the delivery time wasn't so short!

Intresting. Seems to me as long as they can financially make it worthwhile, the standard way studios around the world react to narrow deadlines is by hiring extra hands to work on freelance while the core permanent staff usually work on longer running projects. I think it can still work by the distance if well coordinated. recently got contacted and contracted with a small company in the u.s that specializes in making animated parodies. Had 2 work with voice actors as well as the director and even the writer via the internet and I must say its going pretty well. Will create a thread soon on that to share my experience and how this works. You can email me if you wanna discuss further. Sagircarpenter@gmail.com
