Unemployment crisis: Delta State to witness a massive protest in Asaba on the 27th August 2011, the day of the anniversary marking the creation of delta state. The text message being circulated reads: Hurricane Total Show Down, Comrades vs Uduaghan. Join the Asaba protest march on the 27th August 2011. No retreat. Meanwhile Urhobo youths shut down the Federal University of Petroleum Resources Ugbrumo Warri. The youths barricaded all entrance leading to the university over high unemployment rate in delta. They insited that FEDERAL CHARACTER SHOULD BE SUSPENDED IN EMPLOYMENT INTO THE UNIVERSITY OR LET EVERY BODY VACATE THE COMMUNITY. Three soldiers almost lost their lives when the youth attack soldiers who tried to stop advance into the vc office. |
