I sent 17 pcs of used blackberry phones(only one is new and in a box), to lagos nigeria via EMS/USPS, I was charged N65,000 as custom duty!
has any body experienced this type of exploitation before. is there anything I can do to avoid this exploitation

paying customs duty is normal in any working system and enforcable by law. it would't be exploitation to charge u the duty for bringing in finished good into nigeria, unless they r charging u more than what the rates are. u can avoid these by bringing them in as ur personal luggage, provided they don't search u and discover commercial quantities.
