Hello Nairaland

What's all the noise with "Naira Re-denomination".

Japan's industrialized, free-market economy is the world's fourth-largest purchasing power parity (PPP) after the United States, the European Union and the People's Republic of China. It is the second-largest by market exchange rates. Its economy is highly efficient and competitive in areas linked to international trade although productivity is lower in areas such as agriculture, distribution, and services.

The Japanese economy is one of the strongest in the world. Only the USA has a higher GNP. The Japanese currency is the Yen.

1 yen = 1 Naira

Does Nigeria really need to re-denominate? Is that priority?

Kobo is a lost cause,
Making N1, N5, N10 into coins would be better.
