Arsenal search for their first Premier League win, while Swansea aim to score their first ever Premier League goal as the sides meet at the Emirates Stadium this Saturday.

The Gunners play their first game since the 8-2 hammering by Manchester United a fortnight ago but have brought in new players at the close of the transfer window.

Brendan Rodgers' Swansea have shown that they can compete with top-flight sides, underlined by draws with Wigan and Sunderland, but their only other away fixture ended in a 4-0 defeat to Manchester City.

The game will be the first time the two sides have met in a competitive fixture for almost 30 years while the Swans completed the double against the North London outfit in the old Division One in the 1981/82 season.

Arsenal's failure to beat Manchester United made it six Premier League games without a win for the first time since 1994.

But, after the sale of Cesc Fabregas and Samir Nasri, in addition to some high-profile new additions, Arsene Wenger will be hoping that his side can start from a clean slate.

Wenger still has injury problems heading into the game, after he confirmed on Friday that Abou Diaby and Jack Wilshere are both out with ankle injuries.

Thomas Vermaelen is also an absentee after undergoing surgery, while midfielder Tomas Rosicky is a doubt.

Also doubtful for the clash is deadline day signing Andre Santos as the Brazilian full-back is lacking match practice.

Suspended duo Gervinho and Alex Song continue to miss out, but both will return after this game.
Positive

On the positive front, England duo Theo Walcott and Kieran Gibbs could return while starts are expected for new signings Mikel Arteta and Per Mertesacker who joined on the final day of the summer transfer window.

South Korean striker Park Chu-Young, who joined from Monaco, and Yossi Benayoun, who made the switch from Chelsea, could make their debuts but are most likely to start on the bench.

Swansea have picked up one more point than the Gunners after three games of the new season and the club are still on a high after their play-off win last May.

Goalkeeper Michel Vorm has made an impact since signing from Utrecht and has managed to keep two clean sheets against Wigan and Sunderland respectively.

Rodgers has fewer injuries and suspensions than his counterpart, but will still be without midfielder Ferrie Bodde (knee) and defender Alan Tate (broken leg).

Garry Monk remains a doubt with a foot injury, despite recently making an appearance for the club's reserve side.

Two of Swansea's deadline day signings, Rafik Halliche and Darnel Situ, will both be unavailable as the pair are waiting for Fifa to sanction the transfers.

May i remind u that Arsenal defeated Man united at emirates this year 1:0 during the second half of the 2010/2011 premier league season.

Park is not likely to be part of the arsenal squad that will play tomorrow cos he is yet to train with his fellow team-mates. Swansea are gooner be our scape goat. Gunners for life.
