i decided to create this thread to help asipiring student of absu with lastest updates from the school.
  So obviously,post-ume  don come pass, lol, so what next?, i noticed that there was alot of confusion about the cut-off mark of various dept after the post-ume result came out.what absu does is your jamb score + post-ume score divided by 2.WHAT THEY USE IS YOUR TOTAL AGGERATE SCORE.its been rumored that the cut off is between 180-200 depend on the dept bt it havnt been confirmed yet.
Am an IDEA student nd wrote jamb this year.got 233+160=196.5,microbiology 1st nd 2nd choice.

Chidiexy,it totally depends, how good are your scores?.i personally think that medicine is very competitive and absu usually doesnt accept 2nd choice bt you never know, keep trying,

My fellow prospective studnts of Absu,i personaly aply 4 absu as my 2nd choice in d dept. of pol science nd score 212 in jamb 196 pume=aggr.204 pls is there any hope 4 me?

Mopoli,welcome to the thread.absu hates being picked as 2nd choice university,usually absu favours 1st choice candidate and also abia state indienges too.the cut-off marks for various havnt been officially annouced yet but i will let u no when its out but lets just keeg our finger's crossed, ,u might get lucky.goodluck with the admission.

Ake treazure,u will need to get the card to check ur result,it costs 1,200.get sumone around abia state to help u buy the card since u r far away, goodluck with everything

Plz, can one's name be pasted probably 2nd or 3rd batch afta d primary list when he did'nt purchase d supplementary form? I need ur contribution.

@ mopoli,i was temporarily banned from nairaland for flimsy reasons but to answer ur question,its nt possible to have ur name on supplementary lists wtout buying the form.usually if ur isnt on merit list,u then have to buy the supplementary form to get ur name on subcequent lists to come.

Please fellow Nl,s, i chose absu as second choice in estate managment and i had 203 in jamb and 208 in post jamb. Agg is 205.5. Is there any luck for me??

@ olayinka,wow!!!!!, thats d highest score i have seen so far, ur chance wld hv been higher if u choose absu as 1st choice, r u frm abia state?, usually,names that r publishd on merit list r pple that choose absu as 1st choice nd respectively scored well above the cut off mark.u might hv 2 buy d supplementary form, goodluck!!!

@ olayinka,to be honest,ur chances for 1st list admission is almost impossible,bt u might get admitted on next lists.absu usually favours candidates frm abia state and it also helps to choose the uni as 1st choice.bt dnt give up yet,u might be lucky, ,,

How sure is the Supplementary list and besides how much is it been sold?

Olayinka,relax,ok??, u might be amongst d lucky ones, every sch has its unwritten rules,nt everyone nos abt it.ur case might b different.supplementary form might b btw 5-10k.goodluck.
