Acer timeline series is a good start and pay for the one that comes with Win7 installed.
I upgraded from Vista and my battery life is just a little below 4hrs compared to the 8hrs plus i was getting on Vista.
I have installed all power management drivers for Optical drives and all that battery killing hardwares but still
