ITS TRUE THAT BEFORE MARRIAGE MOST COUPLES CALL EACH OTHER BY PET NAMES, EX.( BABY, HONEY, SUGAR, SWEET, TOM TOM, CHOCO MILLO, MANGO, TOMATOES, CARROT, SUSSAGE, CUCUMBER AND LOTS MORE)


AFTER A FEW YEARS OF MARRIAGE, THEY START CALLING EACH OTHER BY THEIR NAME, SOMETIMES THE HUSBAND EVEN CALLS THE WIFE "WOMAN" AND SOMETIMES THE WIFE REFERS TO THE HUSBAND AS PAPA-EMEKA, ETC.

MY QUESTION IS, WHEN DID THIS HAPPEN? AT WHAT STAGE DID THE MAN BECOME TOO OLD TO BE CALLED BABY?

THE WORST PART OF IT IS THAT, FOR THE CHEATING MAN, IF HIS YOUNG GIRLFRIEND CALLS HIM BABY, HE ENJOYS IT BUT IT WILL SOUND STRANGE IF HIS WIFE OF OVER 10 YEARS CALLS HIM BAB. grin grin

ITS ONLY IN RARE CASES THAT PEOPLE GROW UP TO SEE THEIR PARENTS CALLING EACH OTHER BY PET NAMES ON DAILY BASES.

Some couples still call themselves some pet names, but its rare especially when the love is not there anymore or has drastically reduced. People fail to spark up the romance in their marriage when the kids start coming.

sparking up the love is not easy oo, because when u have won a shoe for 3 years, it will be difficult to convince yourself that the shoe is a new one. grin grin

My parents have been married for nearly 27 years now. They're always calling each other weird pet names. The only time they call each other by their first names is when they're joking around believe it or not lol.
