I upgraded my iphone 3g and i got locked.i jailed breaked it but its not working well and no network.please who knows how i can unlock it.?

What is d model, version and modem firmware now. Check them under settings-general-about

its locked, its says i should insert a valid sim to unlock it, its an iphone3g and was with the ios 3 bfor i upgraded it to 4.2, the imei is 01 171400 762274 2, thnx

I will need to pay to get the network it's locked if u get only d imei. Install tinyumbrella and get the model number from it. If u upgraded to 4.2.1, then u've upgraded d baseband which means u av to install d iPad baseband before u can unlock. If u are regular user of gps location, then u need to know dat d gps chip will be gone when u use iPad baseband(I don't think u av a choice though).

let me explain well, the iphone 3g was working well but was on ios 3 and all the app i tried loading were not supported so i didcided to upgrade it.and i worked but after i upgraded it,it got locked and i jail break it.but the network was gone and it seems like the screen shakes.so i restored it back to the factory settings from itunes and now its locked again, should i jailbreak it again?

What did u use to jailbreak? Which version did u upgrade to?

i used redsn0w and i upgraded to 4.1

Upgrade to d last upgrade for 3G, ie 421, 4.1 is very buggy on 3G . After upgrading to 4.2.1, use redsn0w to jailbreak and install iPad bb(sure u know d risk), after installation, install ultrasn0w from cydia

I had to jailbreak and unlock wit gevey sim. evtin works well apart from those 3 i mentioned above. Firmware is 4.2.1. Baseband is 3.10.1
