God himself answers to the name of Jesus. He didn't invest power in the name Jehovah ,he invested power in the name Jesus.

JWs will however quote someplace in the so-called 'old testament' where the Hebrew/Israelite tribal god said: '. . . You are my witnesses . . . '

This discussion is not unimportant; but getting across to a JW on a doctrinal matter difficult; all the teachings of loyal JWs have to be sanctioned by their governing boby (GB) in the US; this GB is a men's only club (women cannot be leaders amongst JWs).

I kinda have to take you on that...
After Jesus' time on the earth, the Bible records that "God has given Him a name above every other name, that at the mention of the name of Jesus, every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord..."
Even before Jesus left, He himself said that a time will come and that "Whatsoever we ask God in His name shall be given to us..."

Point being: Yes God is supreme, Yes God is who we need to pray to... But we need to do it through the work of Jesus Christ since he's the one who exchanged our nature with His....
Also check this out: And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
(John 14:13)

There are so many things they don't believe. They say when someone dies, he ceases to exist. I argued with one of them. I told him after Jesus died he still appeared as a Human and not spirit.

Is it not surprising that Jesus never called God Jehovah? If you know any portion ps show me.

"But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth" (Acts 1:8 ).
