Sesame Street Youtube Channel Hacked by sting_224(m): 3:43pm On Oct 17, 2011
The official YouTube channel for one of the most popular children's educational TV shows of all time was reportedly hacked on Sunday. The Next Web reports that the person responsible for the attack deleted all of the videos from the YouTube account of Sesame Street, the long running PBS kids show. The hacker or hackers then altered the graphics on the YouTube page and uploaded pornographic content in place of the deleted videos.

YouTube's owners Google shut down the Sesame Street channel just over 20 minutes after the hack was discovered. At the time of writing the channel is still down for the public. Some reports have said that a user known only as "MrEdxwx" is responsible for the attack. However, he has since posted up a video that denies he was responsible for this action. There's no word as to how the channel got hacked into although the obvious way is via a poorly created password. The hacker, whoever he or she is, he did post up a rather odd message on the Sesame Street YouTube page before the channel was closed:

"WHO DOESN'T LOVE Indecency KIDS? RIGHT! EVERYONE LOVES IT! IM MREDXWX AND MY PARTNER MRSUICIDER91 ARE HERE TO BRING YOU MANY NICE CONTENT! PLEASE DON'T LET SESAME STREET TO GET THIS ACCOUNT BACK KIDS sad PLEASE, LET ME AND MRSUICIDER91 HAVE IT AND WE GONNA MAKE ALL THE AMERICA HAPPY!"

Mischievous lots I'd say! Guess they didn't get to see the show while growing up; thus want to deprive others! tongue
