(1) The Art of Worldly Wisdom (by Baltasaar Gracian) and The Prince (by Niccolo Machiavelli) = the best books of classical times. (2) 48 Laws of Power (by the awe-inspiring ROBERT GREENE) = the best book of modern times. All three books are masterpieces of unfathomable proportions. Nothing else in the history of literature even comes close (as long a we're talking about profound effect).

The Holy Bible, the only infallible word of GOD by which mankind can be saved, "For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart." - Heb 4:12 and - “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.” -2 Timothy 3:16-17

So then faith [cometh] by hearing, and hearing by the word of GOD.” - Rom 10:17

So many Nigerians read The Quran and Bible and yet so much corrupt and evil doers in Nigeria.
Why are some many Nigerians religious hypocrites and don't practice what they preach.

The holy bible has done more than impact something in my life,I love the book of proverbs a lot, though I won't call the bible an ordinary book.

Gifted hands by Ben Carson is a book I'll recommend, the man is an inspiration.
Holy spirit my senior partner by DR Yongi Cho is an eye opener.
The power of positive thinking by Robert schuller is a must read.
And many I can't remember now.
