Eyin omode wonyi, e o serious rara. E kan ng mu eru ba omolomo ni bayi.

@OP! A lot has been said that are very right and correct. What I will add is to avoid late outings. If you must party, go in group. If you drive, dont stop on the third mainland bridge when it is dark. This also applies to the Ikorodu Road, especially the SERVICE LANES. We were robbed there last year by armed gang, who blocked our vehicle, and at gun point carted all valueables away. We were glad they never injured us much or killed us. According to the police at the Pedro Police Stations Shomolu, some other guys were not as lucky. The time was around 9 pm October 1st, 2010. Nigeria is generally a very dangerous country. Although I believe you know that already, if I can rightly assume you are living in Akure. Akure is no less dangerous. Bank Robbering is prevalent there too now as I understand. However, Lagos is in a class of it's own. It is indeed centre of excellence in Nigeria, including crime. Just be careful! Eledumare a wa pelu e.

1, first 3days in Lagos no commot first understand the street way you dey live first. no who be who
2. no think say you sharp pass that your cousin wey don dey Lagos tey tey go they run around behind ham ,  learn the life gradually
3. Don't talk to strangers - dont accept favors; dont do favors. And be vigilante always not paranoid
4. Better live in an estate  or an upper class environment
5. Eru-iku-phobia is the beginning of wisdom (the fear of tout)
6. When a small kid points gun at you, dont doubt or wait to confirm if its real. Just surrender your laptop and phones

Re: Your Advice For Someone Visiting Lagos For The First Time? by joinnow: 10:16pm On Oct 22, 2011
find below my piece of advise
1. - It is advisable to take only bottled water.
- Journeys on foot (pedestrians) especially at night are strongly discouraged as there is a significant threat from petty and violent crimes.
- Scams (also known as 419) - confidence trick regularly target foreign visitors and expatriate resident in Nigeria. The scam varies in sophistication. Be careful with strangers that appears very friendly and offers assistance too willingly.
(Malaria prevention is better than its cure).
Don't carry too much cash on you
Avoid prositute they made end up using ur sp**m for RITUAL shocked shocked shocked lipsrsealed
